Warren Jerome, a.k.a. "Tweety", is an inmate at Rainford Juvenile Correctional Facility, he and fellow inmate and roommate Viking Lofgren run cell block "Dorm C". They are the "barn boss", handing out work assignments to the other inmates and run the 60/40 split with two other inmates Perretti and Ricky Lee on the cigarette action.
Tweety and Viking see two new inmates Mick O'Brien and Terrell arrive and give them a hard time. They assign O'Brien to what is called "Shit House Patrol", where he cleans the bathroom. Later on, Viking and Tweety would go to Terrell's room and Tweety would go in and rape him. Terrell goes after him with a knife and Tweety overpowers him and throws Terrell off the catwalk, killing him. Mick sees the whole thing and Viking and Tweety see Mick looking at them.
Thomas Bendix, the warden of Rainford along with supervisors Gene Daniels, Ramon Herrera, and a few others question some of the inmates on who saw what, no one talks, not even O'Brien. At dinner, Tweety and Viking go over to where O'Brien and Barry Horowitz are sitting and Tweety asks if he talked and O'Brien says nothing, then Tweety threatens him. Later on that night, Tweety and Viking go into Mick's cell to attack him, Mick beats them bloody with a pillowcase full of soda cans. His victory over Viking and Tweety earns him the respect of the block and recognition as the new "barn boss".
A few weeks later, Tweety is about to be released and at the shop room, he and O'Brien and a few other inmates are working, Tweety tells him he is about to be released and tells him he batter not see him again and O'Brien tells him off. Tweety gets released from Rainford a few days later. In the reading class that Gene Daniels is teaching, he has Horowitz read an article in the paper about Warren Jerome and not knowing that it was Tweety. Tweety tried to rob a liquor store and was shot twice in the abdomen by a liquor store clerk at the High Jay liquor store on Kimball Ave in Chicago. Tweety died undergoing surgery at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Hospital.
