The Watermelon Critters or The Watermelon (according to the letter they represent) are minor temporary antagonists in the 2018 animated film La Leyenda del Charro Negro.
They are a group of anthropomorphic watermelons that were summoned from a card to act as enemies on the Lottery board. They are usually unruly and like to nibble their victims.
Appearance[]
They look like normal watermelons at first, but they take on monster characteristics (such as thin limbs with 3 sharp fingers, and they gain pointy teeth).
History[]
La Leyenda del Charro Negro[]
They appear like normal watermelons, but they reveal their true appearance to Rupertino and the others, thus attacking them. One of them befriends the man when he saves him from being crushed by the Apache. Another clings to Leo's leg and falls into the void after The World's attack. Together, they defeat him on the orders of the one who had allied himself with Rupertino. Finally, he accepts that they must win and jumps to his corresponding square.
