Wayne Dunar is the secondary antagonist in the Grimm episode "A Reptile Dysfunction". He is a Luisant-Pecheur, who hired Logan Cobb to scare people at the Diamond Lake to attract customers for his bait shop.
He was portrayed by Dean Chekvala.
Biography[]
Wayne and his brother Oliver hire Logan to scare people at the Diamond Lake to get their business running. Logan kills a man at the lake which causes the wife to scream in terror so Wayne calls the cops to avoid suspicion to him and his brother while also giving Logan some money before he left. The cops arrive and investigate the murder where Wayne and Oliver don't say anything to avoid arrest. One of the cameramen come into the shop and asks how much a hat cost with Wayne giving the hat a higher price to gain more money.
Nick and Hank came to the shop to ask questions and Wayne has Oliver take over at the counter while he talks to Nick and Hank. Wayne tells the two that he hasn't seen the Lake Monster and that he and his brother took over the shop after their parents died five years ago. The two eventually left, not knowing that Nick was a Grimm who saw Oliver woge. Wayne later counted the money and loved how they made nine grand in just one day with Oliver having moral problems with it as he saw this was wrong. Wayne considered otherwise as they're business is finally booming up because of the murder incident and that they can't be connected to the murder as Logan was woged and that the witness can't even connect him or them to it. Wayne tells Oliver that he worries too much and tells him to restock the selves, Wayne leaves and meets Logan in a bar telling him to kill again to keep boosting business.
Logan kills another person which attracts even more attention, Logan who sees how much the business is making, goes to confront Wayne and demands half of the shop's profits as he believes that Wayne and Oliver are taking advantage of him and demands the money by midnight or else Wayne and Oliver will have their bodies pulled out of the lake. Wayne and Oliver discuss about what are they going to do with Logan so Wayne pulls out a gun and tells Oliver that he plans to give Logan the money and then shoot him when he turns around and will use the scheme as a robbery gone wrong. Trubel arrives and demands to know where Logan is as he has a price on his head, Oliver woges and see's that she's a Grimm with Wayne woging to with Trubel grabbing the gun. Wayne uses this as an opportunity to kill Logan, trubel says that she will come back at 11:30.
Wayne went to the bar and told Logan that Oliver hired an assassin to kill him so he can keep the money for himself. Logan asked what they would do with the bodies and Wayne says that they will dump them in the lake and blame it on the Diamond Lake Monster. Later, Oliver is extremely paranoid about the whole situation and Logan arrives early and tears into Oliver accusing him of hiring "some girl" to kill him and Olivers denies it till Wayne sells him out and Logan shoves Oliver down.
Before Logan can finish Oliver off Trubel arrives early and Oliver tells Logan that Wayne hired Trubel not him, Logan ignores this and woges who sees Trubel is a Grimm. Wayne watches as Trubel kills Logan by snapping his neck and Wayne pushes the money in Trubel's direction and tells her "I'll double it if you kill my brother" shocking both Oliver and Trubel. Nick and Hank arrive and Wayne tries to pin the blame on Trubel, not knowing that she is with them and Hank tells him that Nick is a Grimm like Trubel.
Wayne woges and sees that Nick is a Grimm and flees out the back door as Oliver tells them to go around. Wayne continues to run as Nick and Hank give chase, Wayne strips down to his pants as he is running for the lake and fully woges before jumping into the lake. As he continues to swim, several people on boats spotted him and mistaken him for the Diamond Lake Monster, they shoot at him multiple times, killing him. The next morning, his and Logan's bodies were dragged onto shore, as Oliver is arrested.
