~ The Wedding Assassin to Niko Bellic. |
The Wedding Assassin is a minor antagonist in Grand Theft Auto IV.
He was voiced by Jacek Krawczyk.
History[]
No Love Lost[]
The Wedding Assassin first appears at Mikhail Faustin's home, inviting Niko Bellic inside when he arrives to see Dimitri Rascalov, but finds that he's not there. When Mikhail asks his bodyguard where Dimitri is, he pretends to be oblivious and tells his boss he doesn't know, just that he had to leave to do something. After Niko leaves, Mikhail tells him to go and look for Dimitri.
Mr. & Mrs. Bellic[]
After Niko chooses to do the heroin deal with Dimitri despite his betrayal, Dimitri ends up stealing all of it for himself anyways, leaving the money with Niko.
Niko then goes to Roman's wedding and as everyone is celebrating the marriage, the wedding assassin walks up behind Niko and tries shooting him, but Niko's military training saves himself. However, the assassin's gun goes off during the struggle and accidentally kills Roman.
After Niko kills the hitman and notices what's happened, he continues shooting the assassin's dead body with a blank expression on his face and then kicking it when he ran out of ammo until Little Jacob pulls him off, enraged and heartbroken at the murder of his cousin.
Revenge[]
If the player instead decides to get revenge on Dimitri for his betrayal, the wedding assassin never appears again, with Jimmy Pegorino instead ambushing the wedding and killing Kate McReary.
If this were to be the canon ending, it's unknown where the wedding assassin is now and whether or not he's dead, in hiding, or in prison.

Trivia[]
- During the mission "No Love Lost", the Wedding Assassin is clearly taller than Niko, but in "Mr. & Mrs. Bellic", he's about the same height as Niko.
- The Wedding Assassin is very close in appearance to Agent 47 from the Hitman series. He's bald, wears a suit and tie, and uses a pistol just like 47's. One of the major differences is that Agent 47 is a playable character and is an anti-villain and a vigilante, while the Wedding Assassin is not a playable character and had attempted to kill the main protagonist (if chosen the Deal ending).
