Weimin is a supporting antagonist in Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, he is the weakest and smallest member of the elite Forbidden Company who remains the last one standing of his group in trying to hunt down and capture Po when the Dragon Master ends disgraced and shunned.
He was voiced by Parry Shen
Personality[]
Weimin is best described as an obsessive and determined soldier, willing to do what it takes to get his target and by extension the approval and praise from the Emperor and his forces. He is willing to both cross the entire world to find Po and arrest him as well as team up with the knight, Colin, in order to achieve his goals. Though he also has limits to his boldness, such as nearly quitting the quest to find Po when Colin concluded that Forouzan's help was needed to get the Dragon Master.
After becoming one of Forouzan's pirates he dropped his hunt for Po and focused instead on pleasing his new boss, finding her to be much more appreciative of him than anyone ever was before, he even was willing to stay behind on her island rather than return home to China. Regardless, once even she and everyone else abandoned him to his luck he opted to quit as well and settle down as a restauranteur.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
The Legend of Master Longtooth[]
Weimin first appeared alongside the rest of the Forbidden Company when the Emperor summoned them to take care of Po and Wandering Blade, since his normal guard were defeated by their efforts, the group swore to take care of the duo and set off to find them.
The Company (Weimin included) caught up to Po and Blade while they were looking in the market for information about the Tianshang Weapons, he and his companions fought and defeated Po and Blade, knocking them both unconscious but sparing Blade and taking Po prisoner. However, Blade would eventually abandon Po when it became clear that they only were after the latter, allowing the Company to take Po en route to the Emperor.
The Gateway to the Desert[]
When the Forbidden Company was ambushed and defeated by Colin who unwittingly freed Po in the process and allowed him to chase down Blade to the Endless Desert of China, Weimin was able to recover in time to catch up to the escaped Po and try to capture him but was thwarted and pretended to surrender and wish to become Po's friend as gratitude for being spared by the Dragon Master. Weimin encouraged Po when he fell into a funk after Blade abandoned him and accompanied him to find her.
Po and Weimin visited the Desert Spice Market and sat down to eat some noodles while bonding further. However, once Po caught up with Blade (and also found himself facing Klaus and Veruca Dumont who were ransacking the Desert Spice Market) and tried to help her, Weimin revealed his true intentions and handcuffed Po to the noodle cart then mocked the Dragon Master for trusting him, unfortunately for him, Po was able to turn the noodle cart to hit him and knocked him out cold allowing Po to escape him.
Season 2[]
Season 3[]
The Trial of Mr. Ping[]
Weimin bore witness to Forouzan capturing the Dragon Knights and imprisoning them, as well as throwing Colin overboard for trying to betray her. Now fully convinced to follow her lead, Weimin remained at the Pirate Island and happily joined it as the newest member of Forouzan's crew.
Pangea[]
When Sir Alfred joined the continents together to reform Pangea, Weimin was left trapped inside the treasure trove on the Pirate's Island but was finally rescued by Blade and Alfie, thanking them for their help he asked where Forouzan was and wanted to see if she was looking for him but was told by Blade that she'd already left months ago to his distress; Weimin was then harrassed by Chuntao and his gang who tried to extort him out of his home which infuriated Alfie into telekinetically grabbing Chuntao and crushing him with a large boulder which scared both his gang and Weimin, he then dropped them all into the waters below so they could warn the world of his law. Weimin was forced to swim by himself when Chuntao's gang left him behind.
The Last Dumont[]
After warning the world of Alfie's law, Weimin retired from the battlefield, went back to China and opened a restaurant in a cliffside village; along his travel he found the Mages Island but told no one about it.
Po and the Dragon Knights found his shop when trying to track down the Mage's Island since they needed Klaus' help to summon the Ancient Masters in order to try and destroy the Tianshang Weapons but despite their attempts to get him to cooperate, Weimin refused since he didn't like any member of the group, especially Colin, Po and Blade for leaving him behind so many times; Blade ultimately made him talk by threatening him bodily. After they left, Alfie's sentinels interrogated Weimin on what he knew, threatening to drop him to his death if he didn't talk. Once Weimin did he was let go offscreen after being left awkwardly hanging by one of the sentinels.
The Dragon Knights[]
Weimin was captured by the Emperor's forces sometime after the Shadow Army interrogated him and was locked up in a barrel which was taken to the battlefield of the staged war between China and England. When Alfred's Shadow Army attacked both sides, his barrel was knocked over by the Emperor being thrown by a Shadow Warrior and he was freed though a Zebu soldier caught him, Weimin tried to fend it off with his acid spit but to no avail as the soldier wasn't even affected by the projectile and simply threw him over the horizon. It's unknown what happened to him afterwards.
