“ | Now... There is nowhere left for me on this earth. No... there was never anywhere for me to go in the first place. I should be satisfied to just be able to protect a greater good... by my nature, that is all I’ve ever been able to do... | „ |
~ Wekapipo |
Wekapipo is a minor antagonist in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run. He is notably the only villain to ever utilize the Spin, using a set of orange and yellow steel balls, dubbed "Wrecking Balls".
In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven, he was voiced by Ken Narita, who also voiced Illuso, Sesshomaru, Barodius, and Black Narcissus.
Powers and Abilities[]
“ | The Zeppelis... The strength of their Steel Balls is the use of the golden rectangle. We must surpass that power! | „ |
~ Wekapipo |
Despite lacking a Stand, Wekapipo remains a significant threat in his own right through the usage of his Wrecking Balls, being the third major user of Spin encountered overall. His Wrecking Balls have the unique ability to induce hemispatial neglect (in particular, left-side ataxia), causing his targets to lose all sense of seeing the left side of objects. This can affect Spin users in their ability to see the golden ratio. Wekapipo's Wrecking Balls also have smaller balls attached to them (dubbed "satellites"), which can split off from the main Steel Ball when thrown to attack targets.
Trivia[]
- Wekapipo's name is a reference to the song of the same name by the Japanese band SOUL'd OUT, being a sort of compensation to the band due to the 2007 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood movie (to which the band wrote two songs for) being canceled.
