“ | No good ever came from dealing with outlaws. That vile little bitch Wenda had burned a fawn into the cheek of his arse while she had him captive. | „ |

Wenda, famously nicknamed Wenda the White Fawn, is a minor character in the A Song of Ice and Fire novel series. She is a member of the outlaw band known as the Kingswood Brotherhood, and is said to be young and fair in appearance. She is famous for her reputation of branding her sigil, a fawn, on the buttocks of highborn nobles that her fellow outlaws have kidnapped and taken ransom.
Biography[]
Wenda was recruited into the Kingswood Brotherhood by its founder and leader Simon Toyne at some point during the reign of King Aerys II Targaryen. During her tenure as a member, she gained her reputation of burning her trademark on the buttocks of nobles the Kingswood Brotherhood had kidnapped.
At an unknown point, she captured Merrett Frey, the 9th son of Lord Walder Frey, who is on an expedition to hunt down the outlaws. While he was held captive, she, as usual, branded his arse with her trademark, which ended up making Merrett's life miserable from then on after he was released; Because of the burnt mark on his bottom, this left him unable to sit for a fortnight, and he soon became the target of cruel jokes by other squires. For many years ever since, Merett harbored a bitter hatred of Wenda for being the cause of his humiliation.
Eventually, the Kingswood Brotherhood were defeated and destroyed by Aerys II's Kingsguard alongside a detachment of soldiers sent by the Mad King. While both Simon Toyne and another outlaw, the Smiling Knight, were killed in battle, the fate of the other members, including Wenda the White Fawn, are unknown.
