Imagine the pristine life you could live without the things that limit you!
~ Wendell Antonowsky

Wendell Antonowsky is the main antagonist of the videogame RoboCop: Rogue City.

He was voiced by Joseph Capp.

Biography[]

"Wendell Antonowsky" was the alias given to a rogue OCP operative. As the mysterious New Guy in Town, he made his mark on Old Detroit by offering money to any gang willing to accept his proposal to burn the city down. Due to this, some gangs advertised themselves by committing violent crimes.

The Antonowsky alias was given to him in order to emotionally manipulate RoboCop by evoking his past, Emil Antonowsky being one of his murderers. Under this name, Wendell claimed to be Emil's brother.

Wendell’s life takes a darker turn as he forms alliances with various criminal organizations and collaborates with the Omni Consumer Products (OCP). He plays a significant role in the "Project Afterlife," a sinister initiative aimed at harvesting human brains to create advanced cyborgs. This project, supported by corrupt OCP executives, seeks to revolutionize law enforcement at the expense of human lives.

Throughout his rise to power, Wendell strategically destabilizes Detroit, creating chaos and undermining the city’s fragile order. His vendetta against RoboCop drives much of his actions, as he blames the cyborg officer not only for his brother’s death but also for the disruption of his plans.

Wendell’s story culminates in a dramatic showdown with RoboCop at the construction site of Delta City, where he meets his end. Despite his schemes and alliances, he ultimately succumbs to RoboCop's unwavering pursuit of justice, marking the conclusion of his reign of terror over Detroit.

Personality[]

Wendell Antonowsky, embodies arrogance and a thirst for power. His personality is marked by a profound lack of scruples and a manipulative attitude towards others. He is an extremely ambitious individual, willing to sacrifice anything, including human lives, to achieve his goals. His indifference to the suffering of others is evident in his criminal dealings and his attempts to exploit technology for absolute control.

Antonowsky is also a master manipulator, capable of using the weaknesses and fears of others for his own gain. His strategic approach is based on treating resources and people as mere pawns in a bigger game. His inhumanity is amplified by his belief that he is above the law and others, almost as if he is destined to dominate the future of the city.

He thinks that RoboCop is too human and should forget his past to embrace his robot persona.
