Wendell and Wild are the titular deuteragonists of the 2022 stop-motion animation film of the same name.
They were voiced by Keegan-Michael Key (who also played Pupa in Let's Be Cops, Alpha Wolf in Storks, Kamari in the live-action The Lion King remake, SkekZok in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Gustafson in Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey, Bjornson the Cheesemonger in Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Honest John in the live-action Pinocchio remake and the Chief-of-Police in Wonka) and Jordan Peele (who also voiced Beta Wolf in Storks and Melvin Sneedly in Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie).
Biography[]
The two brothers are imprisoned in the underworld and forced to dwell atop the head of Buffalo Belzer, the underworld's dark and terrifying master and also their father. They confront Sister Helley, their archenemy, a nun.
With the aid of an unaware adolescent goth girl named Kat Elliot, Wendell and Wild seek to flee and reach the Land of the Living (the human realm) through conniving, cunning planning, and chowing down on hallucinogenic hair gel, but are not quite ready for what she expects in exchange. The brothers start by frightening Kat's dreams before moving on to terrorize her community in an effort to transform it into an undead theme park.
The brothers were pursued by Hell their father, Buffalo Belzer, to their eerie amusement park. To spread fear and devastation over the countryside, he wrecks his way through the church's cemetery. Belzer gradually persuades the brothers to work with him once more and start the fair despite being betrayed by them.
The brothers, now being able to build their dream fair decide to help Kat take down Lane and Irmgard Klaxon. They head to the construction site and protest against it. When they Klaxon's send the Old Guard to kill them, they fight back. Eventually the Klaxon's are defeated and arrested but Kat's parents die. Wendell and Wild promise Kat that they will have VIP access to their underground fair.
