The Werewolf is the main antagonist of the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? season 2 episode, "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Werewolf".
He was voiced by Frank Welker.
The sheep rustler is a member of a sheep smuggling ring. He is tasked with picking up the sheeps, shearing the sheep and shipping them away again to be sold on the black market. To keep people away from the old mill (where he shears the sheep) and the harbor (where he picks up the sheep) he takes the disguise of a werewolf.
In the beginning of the episode the Scooby gang is out camping in a forest near the old mill. The Werewolf appears and scares the gang, but they recover and sees footprints from the Werewolf and follows them. They arrive at an old graveyard and discovers that the footprints leads to an open grave, the grave of Silas Long. They follow another set of footprints and arrive at an old mill. The gang split up and search for clues. Unknowingly the Werewolf tries to sneak up on Shaggy and Scooby but he falls down a trapdoor. Fred, Daphne and Velma gets chased by the Werewolf and bumps into Shaggy and Scooby. The Werewolf then starts to chase Shaggy and Scooby around the whole mill but eventually they get away. Shaggy and Scooby discovers three barrels with rubber tubing sticking out on top of them. Inside the barrels Daphne, Velma and Fred hide but they get out and reunites with Scooby and Shaggy. The gang go over what clues they have and goes out of the mill. Outside they see a rail cart driving from a house down to a boat in a harbor. Shaggy and Scooby is tasked with looking where the rail cart went while Velma, Daphne and Fred looks where it came from.
Later Fred, Daphne and Velma gets locked inside the house by the Werewolf. Shaggy and Scooby sees the deckhouse on the boat going up and with the rail cart going into it. The Werewolf chases them again but they escape down into an empty tunnel. The tunnel leads to the house where Fred, Daphne and Velma are locked inside and the gang reunites. Everyone goes to the boat and when the deckhouse opens up they go inside it. There they see the Big Bad Werewolf fishing up barrels and laying them on the rail carts. They also hear sheep inside of the barrels. The gang understands what's going on and decide to capture the Werewolf. The plan goes very bad and nearly gets the gang including the Werewolf killed. Later Scooby and Shaggy ride a canoe but are then chased by the Werewolf. Then, they almost get killed when they go down the waterfall, but Fred, Velma and Daphne save them by catching them with a net. Suddenly, they here a voice calling for help. The gang looks down and see that it's the Werewolf who is grabbing on to a rock for his dear life. The gang then rescues the Werewolf and the Sheriff arrives. The Werewolf is then unmasked as one of the members from the sheep smuggling ring who is then arrested by the Sheriff. At the end of the episode, Scooby frightens Shaggy by wearing the Werewolf mask and pulls it off saying "Rooby Roo!"
- Even though the other rustlers have been completely avoided, there's obviously at least one other off-screen sending the barrel in the Werewolf's direction. They're also conspicuously absent from the end when the sheep rustler disguised as the Werewolf is the only one captured on-screen. Either they've evaded capture or are being arrested off-screen.
- In the live action film Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed the Werewolf costume was put on display at the Coolsonian Criminology Museum. It was stolen but never brought to life.
