~ The patrons of Where The Dead Go To Drink. |
Where The Dead Go To Drink are major antagonists in The Alfred Alfer Movie, appearing as the main antagonists of the segment Dead Girl Strip Club and the overarching antagonists of the following segment, G.G. Alfred.
They are, as their name and the title of their respective film segment suggest, a bar populated solely by dead people, with both the patrons and workers consisting of decaying corpses, who tempt and take advantage of the film's protagonist, Alfred Alfer, after his only friend abandons him in the land of Where The Dead Go To Die.
Biography[]
After being abandoned in the land of Where The Dead Go To Die by Labby, a heartbroken Alfred Alfer treks through the wasteland until he comes upon a cemetery littered with walking skeletons holding bottles of beer, all surrounding a large tomb with a neon sign reading "WHERE THE DEAD GO TO DRINK". Alfred enters the tomb, which is acting a booze joint, and takes a seat at the bar. As he mopes, the singers upon the stage sing distortedly, wail in agony and lumber around on the stage.
A mysterious black figure lurking behind the curtain starts messing with an electrical lever, causing the singing zombies to perk up, begin flailing around, dancing quickly and singing loudly. At the same time, Alfred begins taking a bunch of drugs and alcohol, causing him to match the tone of the singers, begin dancing along, running around and having sex with the skeletons. When the figure turns the electricity down, Alfred comes down from his high, causing him to hallucinate Labby speaking to him through the red shot glasses and Alfred's shadow. Labby Alfred encourages Alfred to commit suicide as a skeleton places a revolver on the table next to Alfred's drink, however the figure behind the curtain has different plans.
The figure pulls the singer off the stage with a long cane and replaces him with a decaying (albeit conventionally attractive) corpse of a blonde stripper wearing lingerie. Alfred immediately notices the stripper in the bar's mirror and falls in love right away, halting his suicide. The shadowy figure, who is now masturbating, turns the electricity up to the max, causing a light above Alfred's head to shatter and resemble the headpiece of an electric chair (foreshadowing his fate at the end of the film) and also causes the stripper to violently convulse. As more decaying strippers appear on stage, Alfred joins them and tries to have his way with them, until the electricity becomes too much for the corpses and begins melting their skin, showing their bones and maggots. Alfred, disgusted, has second thoughts about his intentions, but it's too late. The strippers force themselves on Alfred.
Alfred wakes up the next morning in the club surrounded by all the violated dead bodies at the club, screaming in terror at what he sees before him, as well as the maggots on his private area. He's terrified, but then begins to switch to an alter named Lucifer, who is very pleased at all the dead bodies he sees around him. He grabs a bunch of body parts, stuffs them into a garbage bag, and heads off on his merry way.
Later on, in Ascent of Alfred, when Alfred becomes god of the right-wing internet, the owner of the strip club is seen smirking alongside Labby as they watch Alfred destroy the libs, potentially hinting at the fact that they may have been conspiring to make Alfred commit necrophilia and set off the events leading to Alfred becoming a god-like digital dictator and take over the world.
Trivia[]
- The club's name is a reference to the setting of the movie, the land of Where The Dead Go To Die. The name of the setting of the film is a reference to the 2012 controversial animated horror anthology film Where The Dead Go To Die, which is the debut of Labby and also features a cameo of Alfred.
- The song played throughout Dead Girl Strip Club is the song You Sexy Thing slowed and distorted horrendously, and actually originates from the 2008 Emily Youcis video Michael Keaton Tribute.
- In Boomerang AMV, another Emily Youcis animation, halfway through the video, the women in the car preform a brutal drive-by on a man in a yellow suit who bares some resemblance to the singer in the Dead Girl Strip Club.
- Additionally, the devil shown wreaking havoc on LA looks near identical to the mysterious figure behind the curtain controlling the electricity.
