Dr. Milton Bailey Brandt, more commonly referred to as Whispers and most notoriously as The Cannibal, is the main antagonist of the 2015 science fiction drama television series Sense8.

He is a Senior Officer of the Biologic Preservation Organization tasked with hunting down sensates for unethical experimentation or extermination. Notorious for his ruthless sadism and his uniquely cruel act of murdering all of his sensate clustermates, Whispers is widely feared amongst the sensate community due to his abilities and association with the BPO. He serves as the archenemy to the August 8th Cluster, specifically with Will Gorski due to the traumatic circumstances surrounding Sara Patrell's murder at the hands of Whispers.

He was portrayed by Terrence Mann, who also played Inspector Javert in the Broadway production of Les Misérables and Leon Czolgosz in Assassins.

• Whispers appears to physically resemble Dr. Ray Blanchard, a sexologist whose theories and typologies about trans people have been criticized as pathologizing and stigmatizing. His true name (Milton Bailey Brandt) calls into mind both Blanchard's middle name as well as J. Michael Bailey, an American psychologist who prominently cited Blanchard's typologies in his book The Man Who Would Become Queen.
