The White Demon is a minor antagonist in the dark fantasy, action light novel, manga, and anime series The Eminence in Shadow. He was the guardian of the entrance of the Crimson Tower in Lawless City, before he was killed by Shadow. During his time as a knight captain from an unnamned kingdom, he was also an obsessed serial killer who exploited his privilege to kill his victims at nightime.
He is voiced by Jun Fukushima in Japanese and by Chris Hutchison in Engish.
Appearance[]
As the watchdog of the Crimson Tower, the White Demon was a muscular slender man with messy white long hair, long limbs, slim fingers. He wore a torned short and a clothing of beige white color that covered his head. His waist wore a solid belt seemingly out of wood. His torso wore a torned grey cloth. Both of his arms wore bandages. His neck and both of his legs wore broken chains. Many have believe that he is an eldery man, but in reality his age is estimated to be at least mid 30s, despite his looking relativaly old as a result of his negative mental condition.
In the past as a knight captain, the White Demon was described as a man in a clean white attire, making him look like a peace defender on the outside.
Personality[]
Since his birth, the White Demon is a natural psychopath who enjoys nothing more than seeking for victims to torture, enjoying their terrified reaction before murdering them. His sadistic and immoral demeanor discontinued when he confronted Crimson, who was proven to be on another level in terms of overall power, shatt
ering his desire to kill and started to work as the watchdog of the Crimson Tower and stay hidden from anyone whom he stood no chance to.
Background[]
Once bearing the mantle of knight captain within an an unnamed kingdom, he abused his power covertly, using it to extinguish the lives of innocent civilians, deriving delight from their fear as he chased them through the darkened neighbourhood at night. These deeds earned him the alias of the "White Demon", instilling fear in the populace he governed. His tyrannical rule met its demise when a former comrade caught him in the act, resulting in the massacre of his entire knighthood before his escape. Subsequently four years of fleeing, the White Demon continued his rampage of brutality without hindrance, before arriving at Lawless City, he boldly confronted the residents of the Crimson Tower. However, his hubris led to his defeat by the Crimson, forcing him to beg for mercy and ultimately serving now as the guardian of the Crimson Tower since then. After his downfall, he vowed to avoid conflict with the inhabitants of the Lawless City, particularly its three monarchs.
