The White Rabbit, also known as Rabbi, is a major antagonist in the 2005 manga Devil May Cry 3, a prequel to the video game of the same name.
He is a mysterious demon inhabiting the doll of a white rabbit, who seemingly kidnaps a young girl named Alice to lure Dante into battle.
Biography[]
Dante first encounters the White Rabbit after his handler, Enzo, informs him that a young girl has been kidnapped, with an unnamed employer offering $4,000,000 for her safe return. Dante tracks her whereabouts to an abandoned house, where he discovers a demon possessing a rabbit doll. The White Rabbit then lures Dante to a "tea party" with another demon resembling the Mad Hatter, where they capture him and force him join their tea session with Alice.
After Dante breaks free, he attempts to kill the White Rabbit and rescue Alice, only for Alice to stop him, insisting that the Rabbit is her friend and that she doesn't want to leave. The Rabbit then goads Dante into a fight by mocking his dead mother. When Dante triumphs, the White Rabbit reveals that he was the one who hired Dante in the first place, solely so he could see a Son of Sparda in action. After Dante exorcises a demonic force from Alice's body, the White Rabbit pays him the full bounty he promised.
After Dante leaves the house, Vergil enters. Mistaking the White Rabbit for a hostile demon, Vergil kills him, leaving Alice to mourn over her fallen friend.
