the Whore of Babylon, is a minor antagonist in season five of the horror TV series Supernatural, appearing as a main antagonist in season 5 episode "99 Problems".

The Whore of Babylon is an evil entity from Hell and a servant of Lucifer. Once she appears, it is her job to damn all the people she can to Hell by convincing them to commit acts such as murder. While on Earth, she disguises herself as a human woman named Leah Gideon.

She was portrayed by Kayla Mae Maloney as Leah.

History[]

“	The Whore. She rises when Lucifer walks the Earth. And she shall come, bearing false prophecy. This creature has the power to take a human's form, read minds. Book of Revelations calls her "The Whore of Babylon".	„

Being a false prophet, she capitalizes on people's devotion to God as a means to manipulate them into acts of depravity by naming pre-selected "sinners" in their ranks.

As Leah, she claims to be a prophet, and "foretells" where the next demon attack is going to be. She even gives them an "exorcism" that expels the demons, which is in Enochian. However, she is the one controlling the demon attacks and the exorcism actually means, as translated by Castiel, "You breed with the mouth of a goat."

Upon discovering her true identity, Dean Winchester kills her using a stake made from the branch of a Cypress tree. He was able to successfully kill her due to his being Michael's true vessel, and therefore a true servant of Heaven, the only thing said to be able to kill her.

Powers and Abilities[]

Dark Magic: The Whore has proved herself adept at dark magic when she harmed Castiel using a enochian spell.
Summoning: The Whore can control and summon demons.
Shapeshifting: The Whore can change her physical appearance at will, with her main forms being her demonic one and the human Leah Gideon.
Superhuman Strength: Being a supernatural creature, The Whore was endowed with incredible superhuman strength.
Invulnerability: The Whore is highly resistant to physical damage. She could only be killed by a true servant of Heaven wielding a stake made from a Cypress tree found in Babylon
Telepathy: The Whore is able to read the minds and thoughts of human beings.
Telekinesis: The Whore can move objects with her mind. She pinned Sam and Dean to walls and held them incapacitated without effort.
