~ Wicked Whiskers to Geronimo. |
Wicked Whiskers is the main antagonist of the Geronimo Stilton book The Wild, Wild West. He is the corrupt sheriff of Cactus City from Geronimo's dream.
History[]
Wicked Whiskers owned a piece of land north of Cactus City. Wanting to take control of Cactus City, he built a dam blocking a river that ran to the city. As a consequence, the citizens and cattle became thirsty and fields became dry. Wicked Whiskers forced the mice of Cactus City to pay him gold to deliver water for them.
Wicked Whiskers arrived in the center of Cactus City with his henchmen, announcing a new law that the citizens needed to cheer, sing and dance for him and bring him a plate of nachos covered in cheddar when he entered town. The rodents immediately obeyed and were scared into silence when Wicked Whiskers complained the nachos were too hot, but Miss Firm Fur began encouraging the citizens to stand up to him. Wicked Whiskers was confronted by Geronimo, a newcomer, and challenged him to a rodeo match in which whoever could ride and tame his bull Bessie would win. He declared he would leave Cactus City forever if Geronimo won and was confident he would beat Geronimo.
Geronimo traveled to Wicked Whiskers' ranch for the challenge in three days and three nights with his family and Mick Muscle Mouse. When Geronimo tamed the bull, Wicked Whiskers could not understand why Bessie was not angry and yelled at him for not defeating Geronimo. Bessie furiously tossed Wicked Whiskers into the air and put a hoof on his tummy when he fell to the ground, causing him to beg for mercy. Geronimo stopped Bessie from attacking Wicked Whiskers and made the sheriff realize that he needed to apologize to the citizens of Cactus City and make amends. The crowd of citizens that had gathered to watch the match were not convinced of his change of heart, but Geronimo persuaded them to forgive him instead of retaliating. Wicked Whiskers showed his gratitude to Geronimo for saving him and took off his badge, before leaving on horseback with his henchmen. Geronimo later opened his dam and succeeded him as the new sheriff.
