The Wild Elephink is a one-time villain from the Fleisher Studios cartoon, Popeye the Sailor Man, only appearing in the episode, "Wild Elephinks". It is a violent, destructive elephant who lives on a deserted island.

Biography

In "Wild Elephinks", Popeye and Olive Oyl go to a deserted island, where they're approached by a wild elephant, (which Popeye pronounces as "Elephink"). The elephant broke through the trees and picked up Popeye with its trunk and started swinging him around in the air and smacking him on the ground. While Popeye was attacked by the elephant, Olive was kidnapped by a gorilla and taken away. Popeye escaped the elephant's grasp and punched it in the trunk. The pain traveled up the elephant's trunk and went up to his forehead, giving him a major ache. Popeye noticed that Olive was missing and went to search for her.

Meanwhile, the elephant was still angry about Popeye punching him before and ran after him. The elephant arrived, when all the other animals on the island were attacking Popeye. The elephant charged at Popeye but Popeye grabbed him by his trunk, swang him around in circles, and then released him, sending him flying off the island, where he crash-landed on another island, that broke down and sank into the water, creating a huge splash. The elephant was never seen again, suggesting that it might have drowned.
