Wild Weasel is a supporting antagonist in the G.I. Joe series. He is a member of COBRA and pilot of the Cobra Rattler.
Overview[]
A mercenary and flying ace, Wild Weasel gained a reputation as one of the world's best pilots from his service in the bush wars of South America and Africa. His speech pattern has a sibilance, which is believed to be caused by a mouth injury from a strafing run.
Even the G.I. Joe pilots have come to respect him as a pilot. As a person, Wild Weasel is very arrogant. He does not have friends, since he only talks about jets and motor parts, but thinks it is because everyone fears him.
Biography[]
In the comics, Wild Weasel first encountered the G.I. Joe Team when he was sent on a mission by the Baroness to search for Cobra Commander. Wild Weasel and his partner Firefly finds Zartan's hideout instead, and encounter the Joes in the Florida swamps.
Wild Weasel had a rivalry with Joe pilot Ace, beginning when they battled each other in a dogfight to a stalemate. As the pilots retreat, both give a salute to one another. This rivalry was also shown in the G.I. Joe cartoon.
