Wilhelm, is a supporting antagonist in Borderlands 2 and one of the playable protagonists in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
Biography[]
Wilhelm was born on planet Hera with a rare bone disease that required a cybernetic implant when he was a child. After the operation, he became obsessed with it, which motivated him to install more of these amplifiers. He later became a known mercenary throughout the galaxy due to the number of people he killed. At some point, he was hired by Handsome Jack as his chief enforcer and helped him rise to power.
In Borderlands Pre Sequel, he helps Jack along with the rest of the Vault Hunters find a vault on Elpis. After Roland, Lilith, and Moxxi betrayed them, he continued to accompany Jack.
Later, Jack and Wilhelm destroyed New Haven and captured the surviving settlers. After that, Jack murdered the leader of the survivors, Helena Pierce, and Wilhelm killed the rest.
In Borderlands 2, Wilhelm is mentioned by Angel who reported Wilhelm's exploits and the destruction of the refugee train on Handsome Jack's orders. He physically appears in the End of the Line location where he confronts the Vault Hunters, where he dies at their hands as well.
