William Hare is a minor antagonist in the 2020 science fiction video game Cyberpunk 2077, being the main antagonist of the side quest "GIG: Backs Against The Wall". Once a Militech corporal, Hare was fired due to fears of impending signs of cyberpsychosis. Now unemployed, Hare would turn to crime to get his medication.

William enlisted in Militech at the age of 17, hoping to find his purpose in life. Unfortunately, after the mission from Brazil, William got post-traumatic stress disorder, leading to the development of cyberpsychosis, leading to his discharge. Unable to reconcile, William began plotting against politicians, including plotting to assassinate Night City mayor Weldon Holt. He also began stealing medicine from the Ripperdocs.
Cyberpunk 2077[]
As the game progresses, V receives a message from fixer Regina Jones, giving him another quest to recover stolen medicine by Hare. After arriving at his apartment, William threatens to kill V. Dependent on our choices, V can either figh or make a deal with him.
