William McTier is the minor antagonist of The Mentalist TV-show. He is a pedophile, who was once caught by Teresa Lisbon and whose death she later investigates. He was played by Edward Conna.
Biography[]
William was a notorious pedophile who raped many victims. He was arrested by Teresa Lisbon, who was one of Patrick Jane's friends in the police. He got out of prison and even got himself a girlfriend. However, the woman he was dating had a daughter (still a child). It is implied that William was dating that woman to get close to her daughter in order to rape her. Meanwhile, Teresa exposed another criminal. It was Milton Howard, who stole a lot of money from his company and killed his partner. Milton decided to get rid of Teresa. To do this, he hired a psychiatrist Teresa was visiting to kill William and frame Teresa. In order to lure William to the scene of his future murder, Malton hired the brother of the woman William was dating. However, after the murder, Roy accidentally let it slip to Teresa that he knew the details of what the crime scene looked like (and only the killer could know these details). Moreover, Patrick Jane was nearby and heard everything. Out of surprise, Roy revealed that he worked for Milton Howard. Both were arrested.
