Biography[]
Lt. Commander William Taverts had been helped throughout his career by respected Admiral, Vincent Albers. He rose through the ranks to become Lieutenant Commander of the Untie States Coast Guard where he would abuse his position to rape female personnel. In a file found about his corruption, it is discovered that he has harrassed and raped countless other women, who he has pressured into dropping charges.
When the daughter of Admiral Albers, Amelia Albers joins the military, Taverts took to mentoring her and soon tries to pressure her into having sex with him multiple times but she refuses. This leads to him commanding a group of his soldiers to gang-rape Amelia. At a bar, Taverts leads the gang-rape against Amelia, leaving her with severe injuries and trauma.
When Amelia is taken in by the Special Victims Unit, who try to learn who did this to her, Amelia refuses to say, due to her fear of damaging her family's image as she also broke curfew. When detectives go to the base to question Taverts about what was done to Amelia by her fellow officers, Taverts denies the involvement of his officers and writes off Amelia's claims.
The detectives learn which soldiers were involved in the rape, but through the DNA testing, learn that there was another rapist that Amelia had no named. Admiral Albers becomes involved and comes to help his daughter with what happened and learn who the other rapist is. This is when Amelia reveals it to be Taverts, which she had hidden out of fear of him ruining her reputation.
Taverts and the other soldiers involved are all put on trial for the gang-rape. It is revealed that one soldier, who had held her down during the rape, was pressured into it by Taverts and had formerly been assaulted due to being gay. Taverts approaches Admiral Albers during a recess from the trial and insults Amelia to his face, saying that she was not suited to be in the military. In response, Admiral Albers punches Taverts in the face, knocking him to the floor. Taverts and the other officers who participated in the rape are all found guilty and arrested for their crimes.
Personality[]
Taverts is a cruel, arrogant, and abusive misogynist who takes advantage of his position as a commanding officer to rape women in the military. He states how no one can say no to him, especially a woman and punishes Amelia for rejecting his advances through rape. He shows no loyalty as despite Vincent Alberts helping him in his career, Taverts rapes his daughter and later insults her to his face.
