How very interesting... such... knowledge.
~ Wilson in the first trailer.
Attention, children of the Machine. This is Wilson.
~ Wilson's catchphrase, said every time he contacts the entire studio.
It's time to die, Audrey... and live again... as a god!
~ Wilson's last words before Audrey pushes him into his own contraption, killing him and subsequently transforming him into an ink creature.

Wilson Arch is one of the two main antagonists (alongside The Ink Demon) of Bendy and the Dark Revival, the second mainline installment in the Bendy franchise. He is Audrey Drew's arch-nemesis and the creator of the Keepers.

The unhinged, enigmatic, elderly son of business tycoon and Archgate Films founder Nathan Arch, Wilson came into contact with the Ink Machine while employed at his father's company and developed an obsessive desire to rule over the cartoon world within it known as the Cycle. After subduing the Ink Demon by trapping him in a weaker form, Wilson assumed near-total control over the Cycle by using propaganda to cement his image to the realm's populace as "the man who killed the Ink Demon", and eventually wound up roping Audrey Drew into his schemes to ensure his dominion over the realm remained.

He was voiced by Tim Simmons, who voiced Freddy Fazbear in Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery and Nightmare Freddy in Ultimate Custom Night.

Personality[]

Wilson presents himself as a kind, albeit creepy individual, as shown by Audrey's reaction to him entering the elevator with her. After Audrey begins the ritual to send him and her to the ink realm, his true persona is shown as a sadistic and controlling individual, forcing Audrey to join him in the ink realm. In the Ink Realm, based on Betty's dialogue, he acts as a kind being who treats guests well. However, based on his dialogue, this is clearly a facade, as he is manipulative and lying.

Despite anything about how he truly is, it is implied that he saw his mother in Betty, indicating the fact that Wilson may have a small part of him that still loves his mother. Besides his mother, Wilson seems to hold a grudge against his father, Nathan Arch, for neglecting him over his years of working with his fellow business partners and dismissing his father as "beyond hope."

Biography[]

Past[]

When Wilson was a child, he was mostly raised by his mother due to his father, Nathan Arch, being very distant from him and constantly working, causing Wilson to resent his father as a result. Later in his adulthood, he became an employee for his father's studio, Archgate Films, as a janitor. He eventually found out about the Ink Machine and then made his own empire within the Cycle by creating the Keepers, having anyone who could possibly break the Cycle imprisoned, and the Ink Demon experimented on to neutralize, which in turn trapped him in a weaker form similar to his cartoon counterpart.

Bendy and the Dark Revival[]

Wilson first appears when he stops the elevator Audrey was on, rides with her down to the room where the Ink Machine resides, and tricks Audrey into starting the ritual that turns it on and drowns her and himself in the ink as they are transported to the world of the Cycle. After Audrey is transported, he orders the denizens of the Cycle to bring her to him. He later appears on a subway train after Audrey is knocked out by a Keeper, and he then claims he needed her to help save his father. After the train stops, he then introduces her to Betty to show her room while leaving her to go to his laboratory. When Audrey meets again in his lab, showing her a drawing of his cartoon creation, Shipahoy Dudley, to destroy the Ink Demon once and for all, he reveals that his claim of saving his father was actually a ruse and actually needed Audrey to power his creation, by having her soul infused into it. Audrey, however, stops him and pushes him into his machine, brutally sawing him to death. He then comes back, having been fused into a horrific and deformed version of his Shipahoy Dudley character, and attempts to kill her, he then ends up ripping off her legs, but before he can kill her, the Ink Demon comes in, attacks him and starts biting Wilson's throat and dragging his corpse into an ink pool, ending the cruel old man’s life for good.

Trivia[]

  • Wilson is the second antagonist in the franchise to be a human who willingly became an ink creature after Sammy Lawrence. While Susie Campbell was also willing to follow Joey Drew's plans, she wasn't fully aware of what would happen to her and was explicitly stated to have been tricked, believing she would be beautiful while she actually became an ink creature.
    • He is the first, however, not to be a cartoon or Lost One, but instead, like Audrey, a mix of human and cartoon.
  • It is unknown how Wilson created the Keepers. However, based on their designs and speech patterns, it is presumed that he cobbled them together with materials he found around the Studio. They were most likely originally just normal Lost Ones that had been heavily modified.
