Winnie-the-Pooh (and also called Pooh Bear, or simply Pooh), is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Owl) of the Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey film series, which is part of the Twisted Childhood Universe and is loosely based on the Winnie-the-Pooh book series by A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard.

He is a bear-like humanoid who was abandoned and left to starve by Christopher Robin and, alongside his close friends Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Eeyore and Tigger, unleashes his barbaric feral instincts due to his newfound hatred of Christopher and humanity itself, becoming a savage serial killer who murders anyone who visits the Hundred Acre Woods. He is the twin brother and best friend-turned-arch-nemesis of Christopher Robin as well as the leader of the Crossbreeds.

In the first film, Pooh is portrayed by Craig David Dowsett in his first villainous role. In the sequel, he is portrayed by Ryan Oliva, with Peter DeSouza-Feighoney portraying a younger version of Pooh.

Appearance[]

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey[]

Note: This only includes his depiction in the first film, which is an in-universe fictionalized version of the character.

Prior to the events of the film, Pooh was implied to have resembled his book and mainstream counterpart, having his trademark yellow fur and skin, being furry and cuddly. However, after becoming a barbaric serial killer, Pooh's appearance changed drastically. He still maintains his yellow skin minus the fur, and is large in stature, having the build of a muscular grown man (although he still has his iconic plump belly) as well as maintaining a sinister yet bleak expression on his face. He is seen wearing a red plaid shirt with blue overalls.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2[]

However, the events of the first film are revealed to be a fictionalized version of the true events and that Pooh's real appearance is that of a beastly anthropomorphic humanoid bear with dark yellow fur, fangs and claws and a brooding and intimidating figure, although much like his fictionalized counterpart, he maintains a red plaid shirt with blue overalls.

When he was younger, Pooh was shorter and thinner, being the height of a preteen, with his clothing being the same, except that he had no overalls and instead wore regular blue pants.

As Billy (when he was human before becoming a crossbreed), he was a short young boy with fair skin and short well-kept brown hair. He wore a gray sleeveless t-shirt and blue shorts.

Personality[]

Originally, Pooh was thought to be very kind, gentle and friendly with anyone despite suppressing his feral animalistic tendencies. He also showed great love and care for Christopher Robin and his friends, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit and Owl. However, this was far from the truth as Christopher's young mind suppressed Pooh's true nature as he was shown to have always been feral, having been shown in flashbacks that Pooh would kill animals and eat them.

After being forced to cannibalize Eeyore due to starvation, Pooh was traumatized so much he showed anger and hatred towards Christopher Robin for leaving, as well as humanity. As a result, Pooh suppressed any good qualities he had and embraced his more animalistic instincts alongside the other crossbreeds to murder any human being who visits Hundred Acre Woods. As a result of this, Pooh became a savage serial killer, being absolutely remorseless in his vile actions, even deriving sadistic pleasure from torturing and murdering humans.

Despite his horrible traits, Pooh still cared for his friends, showing his care for Piglet after his death and following Owl's advice to hunt the humans in Ashdown.

Biography[]

Early life[]

William "Billy" Robin was once the twin brother of Christopher Robin. They had a father named Alan, a mother named Daphne, and a younger sister named Bunny. When he was young, he once owned a small yellow stuffed bear.

When he and Christopher Robin were still kids, on one of their birthday parties the twins ran into the Hundred Acre Woods to play. However, Billy was kidnapped by a man named Cavendish under the orders of Dr. Arthur Gallup. Gallup experimented on Billy and the other children in an attempt to create animal-human hybrids. The experiment was believed to be a success, however Dr. Gallup got scared by what he had done and murdered the kids, burying them in the woods. But then their regenerative powers kicked in and they were revived as Crossbreeds, with Billy rising from the ground as a yellow human-bear hybrid (like his stuffed bear).

Sometime after being revived, Billy and the other children took new names based on the animals they were now spliced with. The others became Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Tigger and Owl, with whom he developed a familial like bond with them.

One day while exploring the woods, Christopher came across Pooh and his friends and befriended them, not knowing Pooh was actually his brother. They would always spend time with one another during Christopher Robin's visits and during each visit, he would always bring food for Pooh and his friends to share. However, due to Christopher Robin's naivety he blocked out Pooh's more feral and "wicked" attributes (such as eating raw meat) and believed that Pooh was a kind and "silly" bear.

However, when Christopher Robin graduated high school, he left the crossbreeds to go to college so he could become a doctor, leaving Pooh and the other crossbreeds without any sources of human food for the next 5 years. During this time, a harsh winter deprived the Hundred Acre Woods of any other food for them, leaving to Pooh and the others to starve.

Due to starvation, Pooh's animalistic instincts kicked in and he alongside Owl, Rabbit, and Piglet devoured Eeyore alive. Upon regaining their senses, their actions severely traumatized them and warped their minds. Pooh and his friends would then blame Christopher Robin for Eeyore's death due to him leaving and would develop an intense hatred for him and humanity in general. They would soon make a pact to abandon any form of humanity within them.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey[]

5 years later, Christopher Robin and his fiancée Mary visit Hundred Acre Woods to reunite with Pooh and the rest. However, they are soon ambushed by Pooh and Piglet. As a result, Mary is strangled to death by Piglet. Confused and terrified, Christopher Robin implores with Pooh and Piglet to spare him, as well as questioning their reasons for the attack, but Christopher Robin is quickly subdued and taken by Pooh to be tortured in his treehouse. From that moment on, Christopher Robin would be severely tortured and humiliated by Pooh, who violently whips his back with Eeyore's severed tail as retaliation and vengeance for Eeyore's death. A few more people would also come to visit Hundred Acre Woods but are either murdered or brought back to the treehouse to be tortured alongside Christopher Robin, one of their victims being a woman called Charlene whose husband was murdered by them.

Sometime after, a group of college students Maria, Jessica, Alice, Zoe, Tina and Lara rent a cabin in Hundred Acre Woods to spend their semester break, unaware of the dangers lurking nearby. Pooh chases Tina into an abandoned factory as she was lost on the way to the cabin and grinds her alive in a woodchipper. Later on, Lara is resting alone in a jacuzzi near the cabin, which allows Piglet to knock her out with chloroform then ties her up and gags her as Pooh to run her over with her car, killing her. Pooh and Piglet then hunt down Maria and Jessica after they discover the grisly scene and follow them into the cabin. Alice and Zoe are attacked by Piglet who murders Zoe. Maria and Jessica hide and watch before following Pooh and Piglet as they carry Alice back to Pooh's treehouse and rescue Alice, while also discovering Christopher Robin and Charlene who they free.

Horrified by what Piglet has done to her, Charlene calls out to Piglet for a fight, but Pooh subdues her by pouring honey on her face and allows Piglet to murder her by mauling her to death. Pooh then proceeds to chase Maria and Jessica into the woods as Alice stays behind to knock out Piglet with his sledgehammer. Pooh is alerted by Piglet's squeals of pain and runs back to the treehouse to help him, only to find Piglet already unconscious on the floor. In tears and saddened, believing his best friend to be dead, Pooh angrily confronts Alice and brutally impales her to the wall with his knife, watching as she slowly bleeds to death as well as mourning over Piglet's supposed death. Meanwhile, Maria and Jessica run onto the road where they stumble across some local men and plead to them for their help, but Pooh emerges from the woods and faces off with the locals. Though outnumbered, Pooh manages to easily overpower the locals and murder all four of them after a brief fight before turning his attention back on Maria and Jessica.

However, Pooh notices Maria attempting to run him over with a truck, so he quickly jumps onto it, avoiding a collision. Maria ends up crashing, sending Pooh flying off the truck as she loses consciousness, Maria then awakens to witness Pooh decapitating Jessica as Maria watches helplessly. Pooh then turns his attention to her and as he is about to murder her as well, but Christopher Robin who is driving another car, crushes him between his car and the other, seemingly killing him. Christopher Robin then attempts to assist Maria, only for Pooh to regain consciousness, having miraculously survived the crash as he continues to chase them. Due to the severe injuries of Christopher Robin and Maria, Pooh catches up to them and grabs Maria, placing a knife towards her throat. Christopher Robin then attempts to reason with Pooh, begging for his forgiveness as well for his and Maria's life, vowing to stay with him forever and never leave his side.

Christopher Robin's words catch Pooh off-guard, and his humanity is coaxed out briefly, only for Pooh to remind Christopher Robin that he left before defiantly slitting Maria's throat, leaving her to bleed to death as Christopher Robin flees. Pooh is last seen violently and repeatedly stabbing Maria's corpse in anger.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2[]

The events of the first film are revealed to be a fictionalized movie based on Pooh's murder spree. Christopher Robin becomes an outcast when some in the town of Ashtown believe he is responsible for the murders at the Hundred Acre Woods, although his believers often hunt the land in search of the crossbreeds. With the advice of Owl, Pooh and the crossbreeds attack Ashtown in revenge and plan to bring down Christopher Robin once and for all.

The origin of Pooh and the rest of the crossbreeds is provided. It is revealed that Pooh was actually Christopher Robin's twin brother Billy, who was kidnapped as a child when playing with Christopher Robin in the woods. Billy, along with other missing children, are experimented upon and have their DNA infused with that of animal genetics, thus creating the crossbreeds and turning Billy into a bear like creature. The kids seemingly die from the experimentation, and are buried in the woods, but end up reviving back to life. Billy, now known as Winnie the Pooh, would go onto meet Christopher Robin in his new form. Winnie the Pooh attempts to murder Christopher Robin after Tigger's injuries, but is "murdered" himself with an axe to the head. In his final moments Christopher Robin calls him by his true name restoring his memories which causes Pooh to realize that earlier he had murdered his own parents. Owl retrieves the bodies, and intends to bring his friends back to life.

Trivia[]

  • Due to copyright reasons, this version of Pooh has no direct relation, inspiration, or resemblance to his Disney counterpart, and is instead a loose adaption of the original Winnie-the-Pooh from 1926 as the character entered public domain in 2022. As such, Pooh lacks his iconic red shirt, and his voice is deep and guttural in contrast to the Disney version's iconic falsetto.
    • Jim Cummings, the current voice of the Disney versions of Pooh and Tigger, has expressed his disgust for Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey and threatened to sue the studio personally if they try to imitate his voice as Pooh. He has also warned that anyone who edits his voice into the film will be in "very big trouble."
  • This is the third live action portrayal of Winnie-the-Pooh and the first one to be portrayed as a horror villain.
    • On another note, this is the first one to not be made by Walt Disney Studios as well as not being catered towards children.
  • Coincidentally, a parody of Winnie the Pooh was created by Dirty Potter that also engages in cannibalism.
  • Winnie the Pooh is said to take cues from Michael Myers as both are strong silent killers that stalk their victims and his massacre is comparable to Michael's massacre in Halloween Kills. Additionally, Pooh's true identity being Billy Robin, Christopher's twin brother, is similar to how Michael will murder his family members in the previous timelines.
  • He is the first version of Pooh to be biologically related to Christopher Robin.
    • On a related note, he is also the first version to have murdered members of his own family by murdering his own parents and attempted family murder on Christopher Robin, only to be "murdered" by the latter. The only family member that he spared is his younger sister.
    • Additionally, Billy's name could be a nod to the real-life Christopher Robin Milne's nickname Billy Moon.
