Wit

Wit is a character in Monster Rancher 4 and was the main human villain of that game. He was responsible for experimenting on monsters and essentially making them part machine.

History

Wit was a student at the Elives School along with Phayne and some of his friends. After losing a battle to Phayne, Wit saw Phayne as an enemy and wanted to surpass him at any cost. Phayne and his friend Philia later caught Wit reading a forbidden book in the Elives School library called the Tome of Black Arts, which taught vicious and illegal methods of strengthening monsters, those being biological alteration. Wit escaped and Phayne covered for Wit, getting himself expelled. Since then, Wit has been experimenting on monsters. Wit's experiments eventually led to the revival of an ancient and powerful monster named Xevion, who had the power to control altered monsters. Xevion attempted to wage war on humans, but was ultimately defeated by Phayne in the deepest part of Kawrea Volcano. After Xevion's defeat, Wit surrenders his Breeder License to the IMa and then he is ordered to study how Breeder and monster bonding could be improved. Having realized his mistakes, Wit agrees to these terms and has since dedicated his life to studying the breeder-monster bond.

Trivia

• The player fights Wit in the Official A Rank Tournament of Monster Rancher 4. In this tournament, Wit brings a Special Breed Ripper named Spartacus.
• TeeTee, one of the games main characters, works as Wit's assistant.
