The Witch is a minor antagonist in the Woody Woodpecker franchise. The Witch appears in two different shorts, "Witch Crafty", and "Woody's Magic Touch". In both appearances, she is voiced by the late Grace Stafford.
Biography[]
In Witch Crafty, she is flying through the air on her magic broom, but the handle breaks off of it. She then goes to a nearby broom factory to get a new one. Woody makes her a new broom handle, but The Witch refuses to pay the 50-cent check. She attempts to take back the broom without having to pay, but she is always outsmarted by Woody in her attempts. She finally decides to pay for it, she then asks Woody if she can use the powder room, Woody agrees, but the Witch finds out it was gunpowder. Woody then flies off on the magic broom, and the cartoon ends.
In Woody's Magic Touch, she turns the prince into a dragon, and Woody goes to the Witch's hut to retrieve the spell to turn the Prince into a human again. However, the Witch acts mean towards Woody, these leads to Woody playing tricks on The Witch. Woody manages to defeat the Witch, and the Witch accidentally reveals the spell to change the prince back.
