The Witch Queen is a supporting antagonist of Black Clover. She is the main antagonist of the Witches' Forest Arc and a supporting character in rest of the manga. She is also the mother of Vanessa Enoteca, as she forced her to discover the Red Thread to conquer the magical world.
Personality[]
The Witch Queen is highly cruel and egoistical. When Vanessa showed the potential to achieve Red String of Fate, she kept her prisoner so that she could control her growth, and when she returned to her so that she could heal Asta, the Witch Queen tortured her for leaving the Kingdom.
The Queen is also extremely charismatic, despite her reputation, she gained the initial support of the Black Bulls when she successfully healed Asta from Vetto's attack.
History[]
The Witch Queen assumed power in the Witches' Forest several years ago. She sired several witches as she eventually gave birth to Vanessa, as she imprisoned her in a cage to control her magical power.
Vanessa eventually escaped her cage with help of Yami, who then decided to take her in the Black Bulls. Despite trying to re-capture her, the Queen let her go so that she could get stronger and use the Red Threads of Fate.
Subsequently, after Vetto's attack on Asta, Vanessa returned to her in hopes of searching a cure for Asta.
