Witchcart, known as Wendy Naugus in Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comics, is a supporting antagonist in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, serving as the main antagonist of Tails' Skypatrol and the Sonic the Hedgehog Tails 30th Anniversary Special comic. She is a power-hungry old witch who often rides around in a customized minecart.
Witchcart can use her wand fire blasts of energy, which can be used to encase her foes in crystal or as a simple projectile. Her and her minions' vehicles, along with her army of robots, suggests that she has some degree of technical prowess. She commands the Witchcarters, her personal skypatrol comprising of Hocke-Wulf, Bearanger and Carrottia.
Biography[]
She was first seen trying to claim an unknown island, threatening to turn any dissenters into crystal. A young Miles "Tails" Prower, best friend of heroic speedster Sonic the Hedgehog, arrived on the island one day and decided to free the island and its inhabitants from her tyranny.
Eventually, Tails defeats her minions and finds her roaming the rails of the Dark Castle. In the battle between the two foes, she fires glowing energy blasts from her wand. After being defeated by Tails, he hauled her away from the castle, presumably to be deposited somewhere where she will no longer be a threat to others.
Evidently this did not last, as Witchcart and her minions would later attempt to conquer Flicky Island by trapping the island's unique flickies in her crystals. Right then, Sonic and Tails arrived for an (attempted) vacation, before Witchcart crystalized the hedgehog and took him to her new fortress in the Panic Puppet Zone. After defeating the Witchcarters and constructing a makeshift weapon out of parts from their aircrafts, Tails freed Sonic and took on Witchcart. As Witchcart attempted to flee, Tails reflected one of her crystalizing blasts back at her, imprisoning her for the time being and leaving Sonic and Tails free to enjoy their vacation.
Personality[]
Witchcart is, by her own description, a "wicked" witch who speaks in rhymes, which she takes great pride in. She wants nothing more then absolute control and power. She also has a fondness for her advanced mechanical minecart.

In Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comics, Witchcart has been reimagined as Wendy "Witchcart" Naugus, a troll witch who is the twin sister of Walter Naugus. Along with her brother, she leads the Witchcarters, who are forced to obey via mind control. She also appears to have a crush on Dr. Eggman. After the Naugus twins' failed attack on Eggmanland, Wendy ends up joining the Eggman Empire and becoming the 13th Egg Boss.
