The Witty Phantom is a minor villain in the original Yu-Gi-Oh!.
He was voiced by Eiji Takemoto in the Japanese version, and by Darren Dunstan in the English version.
Appearance[]
The Witty Phantom is an orange skinned humanoid, with long blond hair, wearing a night black suit and top hat.
Plot[]
Yu-Gi-Oh![]
While Kaiba was simulating the Legendary Heroes Game, the game was reprogrammed and got captured, and was held by The Witty Phantom.
The Witty Phantom was the ruler of the monsters in the Medieval Fantasy style virtual world, plaguing the lands and aiming to summon the Mystic Dragon. In truth, he serves as a servant and/or an avatar of sorts to the Big Five who had hijacked Kaiba's virtual reality game, holding him captive and taunting him all the while, mentionning that the young tycoon would serve as a sacrifice to the Mystic Dragon.
When Mokuba got captured on purpose to save his brother, he summoned a SwordStalker to destroy Kaiba's straps. Kaiba then summoned one of his signature Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Being a weak monster leagues below the legendary dragon's level, the Witty Phantom fled in abject terror, but in vain and was soundly obliterated.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX[]
The Witty Phantom made a very brief cameo in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. He's spotted cheering Brron when both Brron and Jaden are dueling each other.
