Initially starting out as Wolf Mask Guards, those who unwaveringly showcased loyalty and dedication were eventually bestowed with ta Wolf Mask, symbolizing their metamorphosis into the Wolf Mask Warriors.
However, despite their noble beginnings, the immense power wielded by the Forbidden Five gradually tainted their purpose, casting a malevolent shadow over the once honorable Wolf Warriors and transforming them into agents of chaos. In this harrowing phase, the Wolf Warriors, in collaboration with the Forbidden Five, instigated chaos across the Wyldness, coercing its inhabitants into an ultimatum of either submission to the Five's rule or facing death.
Following the banishment of the Forbidden Five to the Nether-Space by the Dragon Masters, the responsibility of upholding their legacy and guiding the Wolf Warriors fell upon Lord Argus. However, influenced by Zaiden Kane, Lord Argus succumbed to a misguided decision to sound the Gong of Shattering in an attempt to perform Shatterspin.
Lamentably, lacking the required mastery over an element, this action misfired, casting a curse upon him by being transformed into the Lycan King. The catastrophic consequences of the curse reverberated throughout the Wyldness, plunging it into a prolonged state of despair that persisted for countless years.
Driven by a resolve to confront Zaiden and the Lycan King, the Wolf Warriors plunged headfirst into a battle against the two. Although they succeeded in banishing Zaiden from the Wyldness, the ultimate toll of the conflict resulted in their own petrification at the hands of the Lycan King.
Shatterspin comic[]
Several decedents of the surviving Wolf warriors became known as the Children of the Wolf. The children encountered Garmadon, who seek to learn Shatterspin to help end the Serpentine War. Garmadon entered the Shadow Dojo and found petrified statues of the Wolf warriors. Throwing the Mallet of Shattering at the Gong of Shattering, Garmadon was given a vision of a Wolf warrior ghost who comes out of a statue. The ghost says that Garmadon has undone all the warriors had sacrificed. More ghosts-like beings appear as the ghost tells him to take the Mallet of Shattering far away.
The Children of the Wolf manage to get Garmadon's body away from the Lycan King and brought him to Mama Mawa, who told Garmadon the story of the Wolf Clan and it's warriors. Mawa told Garmadon that he needs to teach the Children of the Wolf to defeat the Lycan King.
After defeating Zaiden and the Lycan King, the Wolf warriors who were petrified for centuries were finally freed from the curse.
