The Wolves, depending on the players, are supporting antagonists or major characters of the 2025 Roblox multiplayer survival-adventure game Dead Rails, developed by RCM Games.

They are animals that appear in the desert's wild, and will attempt to kill the players if they are within their range. Werewolves are also sub-species of the wolves and more dangerous than them. In a later update of the game, Wolves can now be tamed by the players to fight for them against other hostile entities, either through feeding them corpses or playing as the Packmaster class.

Appearance

The wolves seem to be Mexican wolves, and are non-anthropomorphic animals with black bead eyes.

Biography

The wolves are one of the more common enemies to encounter in the game. They appear on the outskirts of the desert and will chase down any players they detect in their sight. Although harmless on their own and weak to firearms, they can somewhat pose danger if in a wolf pack. (spawning three or more in there) A way to counter this is to trap then beneath the train and use melee weapons to kill them. There is also a chance that they can be run over the the train itself when moving. Once killed, wolf corpses can be used to fuel the train, but are unable to be sold to either the trading post or sheriff's office. In a wolf pack, there is a chance that a werewolf may spawn as one of the members in the group. As of a later update, wolves can now be tamed by being fed corpses and will fight other hostile entities for the other player. The Packmaster class which was added later on can alternatively tame wolves by having them attack them. They also spawn with three additional pre-tamed wolves at the start of the game.

Trivia

• The wolves are the only animals (excluding werewolves) alongside horses to appear in the game.
  • Additionally, they alongside the outlaws are the only enemies that aren't a monster.
• In a later update of the game, there is a chance that if Wolves and Outlaws are both within the a player's range, the two will target each other in an attempt to be the one(s) to kill the other species first.
