“ | Mondo: I can't rely on those silly Cogs for anything! Machina: Maybe they need a tune-up. Mondo: No matter, dear. Nothing will spoil our son's surprise. Sprocket: Well, give it to me then. I'm not getting any younger. Mondo: Very well! Behold, Wrecking Ball. Sprocket: Wow, my very own monster. Can I try it out now? Mondo: Yes, but you must practice controlling it before you take it for a spin. Sprocket: No problemo, huh huh. Gimme the remote. No, to the right. To the right! Oh, I can't make it do what I want Dad! It's too haaaard! Mondo: Keep practicing, my son. Once you get a hang of it, you will prove yourself in battle against the Power Rangers. Then, you'll be a man. Sprocket: Wow, I get to destroy the Power Rangers too? This is definitely the best birthday I've ever had. |

Biography[]
It is Prince Sprocket's birthday and the year he becomes an adult but machine tradition means he must "prove himself worthy of adulthood" so King Mondo and Queen Machina build Wrecking Ball. Unlike the other monsters, Wrecking Ball is a new, remote-controlled creature for him to use to destroy the Zeo Rangers so he can prove himself worthy. Although they plan to throw a party before revealing the surprise, the plan is scrapped after the Cogs that Machine sends fail to steal party favors for Tanya's singing from the Youth Center due to the Zeo Rangers pelting them with pies. Instead, Mondo just gives Wrecking Ball to Sprocket but the Prince has initial trouble controlling Wrecking Ball due to his cup-and-ball based abilities which forces him to practice for the rest of the day. The next day, in the middle of Tanya's next performance for director Laszlo Trent and the director of SC Records, Sprocket is able to master the cup-and-ball technique and sends Wrecking Ball to Earth to destroy the Zeo Rangers and Angel Grove.
Going on a rampage, Wrecking Ball attacks the Angel Grove Warehouse District before four of the Rangers arrive whilst he destroys several warehouses. Due to several Cogs showing up though, and the absence of Tanya who remained at her performance, only Tommy is able to fight him in the Red Battlezord which is quickly overwhelmed and defeated. Once the other Rangers defeat the Cogs with their special Zeo Weapon attacks however, Tommy gains his second wind and reboots his Zord. Fighting Wrecking Ball again, the Red Battlezord completely overwhelms him with a barrage of punches before destroying the monster with its energy spin attack. Despite Wrecking Ball's failure though, Sprocket's attack impresses Mondo and Machina enough to declare Sprocket a man.
Wrecking Ball is later rebuilt at human size and seen in the audience at Prince Gasket's Machine Arena when Tommy forces Jason to fight Altor. However, the Rangers are later able to escape after Tritor destroys the shield generator which renders Gasket's plan a failure. What happened to Wrecking Ball after this is unknown as he was never seen again but it is likely that Zordon's Energy Wave vaporises him as there is nothing redeemable about him.
Personality[]
Wrecking Ball is an extremely violent, aggressive and destructive brawler whose only interest is to destroy but is loyal to Prince Sprocket. Despite that, he is also very playful and taunting; referencing playing and games in all of his lines and continually laughing manically. Although he is playful though, his voice is largely monotone and emotionless even when he is yelling and exclaiming joyfully.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: Wrecking Ball knocked back the Red Battlezord with single swings of his blade arm and ball.
- Durability: Wrecking Ball was unfazed by dozens of repeated punches to the chest and face from Red Puncher.
- Cup-and-ball Mastery: Being cup-and-ball-themed, Wrecking Ball is an expert at the cup-and-ball-like game; being able to use its abilities to overwhelm the Red Battlezord.
- Expert Fighter: Wrecking Ball is a skilled fighter, being able to completely overwhelm and nearly defeat the Red Battlezord.
- Agility: Despite his very bulky appearance, Wrecking Ball is an extremely agile and fast monster; being able to run around and quickly pummel Red Puncher from many different angles.
- Appearance Changing: Wrecking Ball's head could assume a more wooden, less robotic appearance although why this happened is unclear since he only did it in the Machine Empire hanger.
- Eye Blasts: Wrecking Ball can flash his chest jewel and fire blue energy beams from his eyes which can cause large explosions and obliterate entire warehouses with single hits.
- Cog Summoning: Wrecking Ball can summon Cogs to aid him against most of the Zeo Rangers by alluding to needing "more players."
Arsenal[]
- Blade Arm: Instead of a right hand, Wrecking Ball has a razor sharp blade that both serves as the handle for his ball and a blade with which to stab and slash his enemies.
- Ball: Typically held atop its head, Wrecking Ball has a large red ball which he can bounce and slam into his enemies hard enough to knock them back.
- Club: Aside from being bounced into his enemies, Wrecking Ball's ball can be simply stuck on his cup and swung around like a club with enough force to knock around the Red Battlezord.
- Cup: On Wrecking Ball's left arm is a cup which it uses as a club against his enemies.
- Head Spike: Atop Wrecking Ball's head in a yellow razor sharp spike that he usually keeps his ball on but can also be stabbed into his enemy with devastating affect.
