X-10 Worker is a major antagonist in the Ukrainian FPS Survival Horror video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl.
He is a former worker at Lab X-10, who was later brainwash into a lunatic. The leader of a huge Monolith squad at the Red Forest.
Personality[]
The Worker's personality is no different from any other Monolithian at the Red Forest, or anywhere else. But, from his PDA, it seems like memories from his past haunts him especially a code to a certain door somewhere in the depths of X-10. It implies that the Worker isn't completely brainwashed, and with enough time he could've regain his sanity.
Appearance[]
The stalker wears a Monolith-colored exoskeleton: Metal plates all over his body, with tubes that connects to his back.
Biography[]
Before being brainwashed by C-Consciousness, the stalker was working at X-10, and most likely was part of a the Group, before they became C-Consciousness. If it's true, it means that the Worker was part of the Monolith since the creation of the Zone, which would've made him one of the oldest stalkers in the Zone.
It's unknown what happened to him before Strelok's assault on the Red Forest, but at some point he became the leader of a huge squad of Monolith soldiers, whom he organize raids from the Red Forest upon the Barrier at the Army Warehouses. Freedom guards at the Barrier, were the only ones who protected the rest of the Zone from being overrun with fanatics.
The X-10 Worker is located at the Northeast Base at the Red Forest during Strelok's arrival. Th player can actually entirely miss him. If the player was cautions enough and found the X-10 Worker, after killing the latter, the player can retrieve his PDA with a passcode to a closed door within the X-10. Behind the door are lying different supplies, medkits, grenades and ammunition.
Powers & Skills[]
- Leadership: X-10 Worker is the leader of the Monolith group based in the Red Forest. Under the leadership of the X-10 Worker, Monolith attempts to push their influence further into the Zone. His group is one of the most essential Monolith squad as they protect the Brain Scorcher - the antennas who prevent stalker from reaching the center.
- Scientific Knowledge (Implied): It's known that before becoming a fanatic, he was a worker at the X-10 laboratory, which suggests that he might've been a scientist.
Trivia[]
- Despite his rather small appearance, the X-10 Worker is a very essential character to the plot, since he is the one preventing others from reaching the Brain Scorcher.
- In the game files, there are actually two passcodes to the same door, and both of them are functioning.
