| ~ Xan to The Hero |
Xan is a major villain in the DragonFable and Adventure Quest Worlds series. He is a psychotic pyromancer who hates every other person in the game be they villain or hero. He is known for maniacly laughing and having a head which is emblazed, which kills him and heals him. his most major appearance was in his own quest line, where he is the protagonist and you, the player and hero must fight him on your dragon. He was originally an Ice mage by the name of Alexander, however during a duel with fellow mage Warlic he was cosumed in fire. Warlic was unable to put the fire out, so instead transformed it into Healing Fire. Despite this Alexander lost his sanity from the pain of burning for eternity, and changed his name to Xan.
Downfall
When the hero and Warlic faced Xan in the Volcano, they were to give Xan the shurpu ring which would increase fire damage a thousand times. The hero gave the ring to Xan in exchange of saving a boy's mother left hostage. Xan then casted a spell that neither the Hero nor Warlic can remove the ring from him, either by strength or by magic. Just as Xan was about to use his power, the hero later revealed that earlier, the ring was dipped with Chaos magic from Escherion's tower, which was inverted magic. So instead of the ring giving thousand times increased magic to the user, it would give the user thousand times reduced magic. Xan decided to remove the ring, but the hero then revealed that it was also inversed; when Xan said that only he could remove the ring, it was inverted that he himself can't remove the ring, and only the hero and Warlic themselves can remove. Xan was left in the volcano, wailing his curses to the hero and to Warlic, planning his revenge...
Trivia
- There is a Chaos version Xan in Chaos North, though with different facial features.
- An armor known as "Nax's robes " was the frostvale version of Xan's robes, currently rare.
