The Xbox is a minor antagonist from the animated stop-motion sketch-comedy show, Robot Chicken. It serves as the main antagonist in the Toy Story sketch, "Andy's New Toy". After Andy bought it and became addicted to the games on it, the other toys, Woody, Rex, Buzz, Bo Peep and the Potato Heads viewed it as a threat to their harmony and attempted to destroy it, only for it to fight back.
It was voiced by Mikey Day.
Biography[]
Woody and the gang formulated a plan to destroy the Xbox. Woody and the gang walked up to it and proposed that they be friends. While doing this bit, the Xbox is distracted, so Rex attempts to destroy it with a hammer. The Xbox sees through the distraction and lures Rex in by offering him a game of Mario Kart. Rex is lured in before being attacked and decapitated by controller. He deploys two more controllers before proceeding to brutally murder the rest.
Woody takes cover and tries to formulate a new plan: the Xbox only has three controllers, so there should be an opening while he is murdering the Potato Heads and Bo Peep. He suggest to use the opening as a chance to attack the Xbox. However, he soon notices that Buzz is not responding, and he turns around to see Buzz, helmet smashed in, having apparently been killed by a wireless fourth controller. The Xbox speaks to Woody through the controller, gloating that he has already lost, before proceeding to kill him.
Later, Andy comes into the room. When he sees all his broken toys, he complains to his mother. However, his attention is quickly diverted when he sees that Call of Duty: Black Ops has released. He immediately sits down and starts playing. The camera pans to the dead toys in the bin.
Trivia[]
- For some reason (either to avoid potential lawsuits or as a joke), the console appears to be a combination of all major gaming systems. It's referred to as an Xbox, looks like a PC, has Logitech controllers, and claims to have Mario Kart on it.
