Biography[]
Yellow Jacket is a hitman employed by Hollow Sky and he is sent by Hollow Sky's CFO, Tess Shoemacher, to track down and capture Holden Matthews, once he wakes up from his coma, due to his newfound abilities which he obtained while he was in The Realm. Yellow Jacket attacks Holden and his friend, Kevin McArdle, outside of a bar with a group of his henchmen. Yellow Jacket and his men beat them down and he tries to get Holden to use his powers by attempting to shoot Kevin. Holden uses his telekinesis and sends Yellow Jacket and his men flying through the air. He and Kevin escape.
Yellow Jacket comes by Holden's house where he acts friendly towards Holden's parents while threatening Holden and showing him that he knows who his family is. Yellow Jacket meets with and updates Tess Shoemacher, expressing his desire to finally meet and talk to Hollow Sky's leader, Isaac Frost. Yellow Jacket is sent to execute Kevin, under Tess Shoemacher's orders. He tracks down and abducts Kevin who he allows to take one last look at his family before bringing him into the woods and killing him. Holden is devastated over the death of his friend and finds Yellow Jacket who is still out looking for him. Holden confronts him about Kevin's death and violently beats him, leaving him injured on the ground. Yellow Jacket refuses to fight back, due to Holden's importance to Hollow Sky.
Yellow Jacket continues his pursuit of Holden and is aided by his henchman, Ramon. He tracks Holden to a campground where is staying with Charlie and attacks the pair. Kevin's brother, Jeff, arrives to help Holden out and exchanges gunfire with Yellow Jacket and his men. Holden uses is his telekinesis to knock down Yellow Jacket and is men, but he is separated from Charlie and knocked unconscious.
Jeff takes Holden to a clinic where he is helped by the pharmacist, Lydia. After waking up, Yellow Jacket and his men find them and Holden attempts to escape, but Yellow Jacket hits him with a knockout dart and abducts him. He brings Holden to Hollow Sky's headquarters, before Shoemacher sends him to search for Charlie.
Yellow Jacket joins up with Charlie and it is revealed that the pair know each other. He forms and alliance with Charlie, offering to help her, in exchange for her helping him. He blackmails Charlie into helping him by threatening the life of her younger sister Annabelle. Shoemacher hires Yellow Jacket's mentor, Richard, to kill him for her, which he attempts to do so when they meet up outside of Richard's house, where Richard threatens Yellow Jacket's daughter. The pair engage in a fight that ends with Yellow Jacket strangling Richard to death with a yo-yo that he bought for his daughter.
Yellow Jacket tracks down Tess Shoemacher and in exchange for letting her live, he takes a position of management in Hollow Sky. He disapproves of the scam that Shoemacher is running, which consists of her cryogenically freezing people and trapping them in comas, despite having promised to take them to The Realm. When Pastor Ian betrays Hollow Sky and agrees to bring information about their crimes to supposed FBI agent, Gale Borden, he is caught by Yellow Jacket who takes him to the woods and has him executed by Ramon.
When Gale Borden reveals herself to actually be a woman named Eleanor Kurtz who is also trying to gain access to The Realm, she captures Tess Shoemacher and goes with men and Shoemacher to Hollow Sky's base. They arrive in the warehouse, where Yellow Jacket, Ramon, and his other men confront them and they engage in a shootout. During the commotion, Yellow Jacket flees and leaves with a comatose Isaac Frostas the building is burning down. Yellow Jacket and Ramon meet up together, comatose Frost still with Yellow Jacket. They are last seen with Frost as he wakes up from his coma.
Personality[]
Yellow Jacket is a conniving and cruel man, who shows no remorse for his crimes and kills innocent people willingly. Despite his violent nature, he shows a soft side towards his family, genuinely loving his wife and daughter who he wants the best for. He also genuinely believes in Hollow Sky's mission, rather than only caring about the money.
