Ying Ranma is a ghost-like spirit created from the evil side of Ranma Saotome using his female personality as body. She wants to stay with Ranma and get rid from everyone who wants to separate her from him.
She is voiced by Megumi Hayashibara in Japanese and Venus Terzo in English.
Biography[]
Happosai takes advantage of the fact that Ranma feels comfortable being a girl to use a Personality Splitter Incense to create a female clone of Ranma and put a bra on her. But Ying Ranma ignores him and vanishes. At dawn, Ying Ranma appears to hypnotize Ranma and takes him out. At the next day Ranma feels bad and only thinks on her female clone, something that Akane notes weird on him. The next night Akane sees Ranma leaving the house with the clone and follows the two of them with Genma, Cologne and Shampoo. Ying Ranma notices then and tries to fight them, but soon the sun rises and Ying Ranma vanishes. Ranma's state is getting worse, so Cologne uses her spirit wards to prevent her to come across Ranma and Happosai tries to make her return to the incense so they won't discoverthat he created Ying Ranma. Ying Ranma promises him grant him her bra if he will take away all the spirit wards, so Happosai does it and Ying Ranma takes Ranma with no problem, obviously ignoring the promise with Happosai. Everyone confrots her but Ying Ranma is stronger. But suddenly Shampoo appears in her cat form, scaring her away and releasing Ranma of the hypnosis. Ying Ranma tries to attack them but Akane puts one of the spirit wards on her, destroying her forever. At the next night Happosai tries to create her again but Ranma prevents it, although her creates accidentaly a clone of Genma.
Her nature is difficult to determinate, she is described as a physical of Ranma's Ying energies and as Ranma's bad side. Is also unknown is she is permanently deceased or if she returned to Ranma's body (what is unlikely since she is seen dissapearing). Is also unknown is she will come back to life with the Personality Splitter Incense or if this would create a different clone.
Powers and abilities[]
Ying Ranma has several paranormal ghost-like powers like telekinesis, ethereality or the hypnosys that she uses wih Ranma. She also has part of the martial arts abilities of Ranma. According to Cologne, she is stronger than Akane and Shampoo and both are uncapable to defeat her in a hand to hand combat. However, she is uncapable to be present at daytime as she vanishes with the sunlight, also the spirit wards repel her and are capable to destroy her.
