History[]
Early Life[]
Yogostein was the son of Yogoshimacritein and it's implied during the series that he had a horrible relationships with his father. Yogoshimacritein was abusive and harsh towards Yogostein and hated his son, considering him a failure. Eventually, Yogostein became a general and the high-ranking member of the Gaiark, and participated in Gaiark's conquering and destroying the Braneworlds. He was the Gaiark Land-Pollution Minister. He was good friends with Kitaneidas and Kegalesia, who helped him and were his Air-Pollution and Water-Pollution Ministers. He, along with Gaiark, conquered and destroyed the homeworlds of the Engines, making the Engines extinct and they started hate Gaiark and vowed to avenge their worlds. Yogostein served his father Yogoshimacritein and the Pollution President Batcheed. During the absence of Gaiark leaders, Yogostein replced them as Gaiark's leader. Eventually, after the great war with Engines, Gaiark became extinct and they traveled through the wormhole to Earth and had a race with Engines. The Engines won the race, entered the Human World and met the protagonists. The heroes became the Go-Ongers and Engines became their partners, helping them protect the Human World from forces of Gaiark.
Engine Sentai Go-Onger[]
Yogostein arrived on Earth with his fellow pollution ministers Kitaneidas and Kegalesia and used the Deus Heguru Megear to establish Hellgaille's Palace on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Together, they attacked the Human World and battled the Go-Ongers a lot of times. Yogostein and his Pollution Ministers created Banki Monsters and created numerous plans of conquering the Human World, but Go-Ongers always foiled their plans and saved the world.
Later in the season, in the fifteenth episode, Hiramechimedes loyal Land Pollution Vice-Minister Hiramechimedes returned and arrived to the Hellgaille's Palace and met Yogostein and Pollution Ministers. Yogostein was happy to see his subordinate Hiramechimedes arrive to assist the Pollution Ministers in destroying the Go-Ongers. Hiramechimedes helped Yogostein create plans and Banki Beasts to destroy the Go-Ongers, and together they fought the heroes many times, but eventually Hiramechimedes failed Yogostein in defeating the Go-Ongers and Yogostein gave Hiramechimedes the last chance to prove his loyalty to Gaiark and regain Yogostein's trust. Together they staged Hiramechimedes' banishment from Gaiark to trick the Go-Ongers. Yogostein mortally wounded Hiramechimedes and sent the Boseki Banki to pursue and kill him. Spinning Banki pursued and wounded Hiramechimedes. When Hiramechimedes was wounded by the Spinning Banki and found by the Go-Ongers, Hiramechimedes asked the heroes for the last wish, by having a race with Hiroto to the Hellgaille's Palace. However, this was actually Hiramechimedes' trap to lure the Go-Ongers to the isolated island and destroy them. When Hiroto arrived at the Island, Hiramechimedes revealed that the Hellgaille's Palace and his wounds were actually an illusion. Hiramechimedes revealed that it was actually his trap to destroy Hiroto and regain his honor before Yogostein and his title. Hiramechimedes then ordered the Spinning Banki to kill Hiroto. After Hiroto fought the Banki, the Spinning Banki used the Industrial Revolution and grew giant. However, the Go-On Wings expected that it was a trap and Miu arrived with Jetras and Jum-bowhale and formed Seiku-Oh. However, Hiramechimedes used the environment of the island to capture them and Spinning Banki prepared to deliver the final blow. However then Go-Ongers arrived with Engine-Oh and GunBir-Oh and freed Go-On Wings. Go-Ongers were unaware of Hiramechimedes's betrayal and Go-On Wings told the Go-Ongers about Hiramechimedes' trap and after realizing how they were tricked, Go-Ongers united with Go-On Wings and battled Hiramechimedes and the Banki. Eventually the Go-Ongers and Go-On Wings combined the G9 formation the Bomper was working on and destroyed the Spinning Banki and nearly killed Hiramechimedes. However, Hiramechimedes escaped and swore revenge. Later Hiramechimedes was tired of fighting the Rangers and decided to defeat them by using the pure power instead of the intelligence and tactics. Hiramechimedes sneaked into the Hellgaille's Palace and injected himself with hundred times the normal amount of Bikkurium, even despite Yogostein pleased him not to do that. Hiramechimedes horrifically mutated and turned into the new more powerful form, Detaramedes. He went to fight and defeat the Rangers in this form. After Hiramechimedes was killed in a battle with the Go-Ongers, Yogostein took significant time to mourn his fallen comrade. Yogostein mourned Hiramechimedes and swore to get revenge on Go-Ongers for him.
After Hiramechimedes' death, Yogostein tried again many efforts to destroy the Go-Ongers and conquer the world, but again failed. Yogostein then left the Hellgaille's palace to find himself. When he returned, Yogostein was more rage-filled and decides to rely on his own power, and created Hammer Banki to destroy the world rather than remake it into an ideal environment for the Gaiark. After his creation was destroyed, Yogostein saw the error of his ways and Kitaneidas and Kegalesia forgave him for his reckless actions. Yogostein again tried many plans to defeat the Go-Ongers, but again failed.
After numerous failures to defeat the heroes, Yogostein created the new ultimate plan. In his final attempt to destroy the Go-Ongers and conquer the Human World, Yogostein found the legendary ancient Banki, named the Horonderthal and ordered him to attack the city and destroy the Go-Ongers. While the other Go-Ongers fought the Horonderthal, Yogostein fought Sosuke and during their fight, Yogostein secretly implanted a special device in Sosuke's body, which would kill him. Despite the Go-Ongers defeated the Horonderthal, Sosuke was seemingly killed by the device, which turned him into the iron statue, covered with rust and Yogostein upgraded himself into the new Horonderthal King. With his new powers, Yogostein vowed to destroy the Human World. Yogostein attacked the city and attempted to rust the entire city. He started turning the people into the iron statues and then encountered the Go-Ongers. He easily defeated the heroes and stole their Change Souls, even taunting them for their defeat. Engines and Bomper took the team to safety. Yogostein continued his rampage and again rusted the city, transforming the people, but Go-Ongers again fought him and managed to take his Yogospear and heavily wound him, making a hole in his body. Yogostein was furious and he enlarged himself. Go-Ongers summoned their engines and piloted them even in their civilian forms. They fought Yogostein and eventually formed the Engine-Oh G12. The new megazord easily defeated Yogostein, cancelling his upgrade and undoing the rust in the city. Yogostein returned to the human size and was heavily injured, but still had the damaged Horonderthal upgrade key. He wanted to use it again and escape, but furious Sosuke arrived. He transformed into the Go-On Red and engaged Yogostein in one-on-one duel. Eventually Sosuke won and Yogostein was destroyed. Kitaneidas and Kegalesia mourned him, while the Go-Ongers celebrated their victory.
Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger[]
Yogostein was later revived along with Kitaneidas and Kegalesia. Pollution President Batcheed attempted to recruit the three back into the Banki Clan Gaiark as they were eating sushi from Genta's cart, but the three did not want to fight anymore and instead wanted to retire at the bottom of the Sanzu River and get drunk.
Gokaiger vs. Gavan[]
Yogostein was among villains imprisoned within the Space Prison in Makuu Space by Makuu Prison Warden Ashurada. Yogostein and the other villains were later released by the Gokaigers when they caused a big ruckus within the prison.
Engine Sentai Go-Onger: 10 Years Grand Prix[]
Yogostein is rebuilt by Kegalesia and Kitaneidas from the Ugatz, from the Ugatz to Junk World where the ministries have decided to live in peace. First, they accidentally created Noizoon and his minions and the Eleki Zontark clan creating N chips. The ministers helped the Go-ongers defeat Zontark and get back to their world, after Grayzky is been killed.
Personality[]
He is the most serious of the Pollution Ministers, but not by too much as as several funny moments as well. He is good friends with the others and is benevolent to his creations. This extends to Hirachemides whom he was overjoyed to see again and does admire his brilliant plans. The one time he is awful to him was actually a ploy by the both of them to enact his plan against the Go-On Wings, and when he does fail at that, Yogostein is worried for him when he decides not to return yet. He mourned his death for a long time, almost going off the deep end in revenge until he snaps out of it when it fails.
While he didn't get redeemed in life, he does so as a spirit, deciding to leave the Human World alone rather than work for Batcheed. Even so, he genuinely wants a pollution paradise to ensure the survival of his kind, which he and his cohorts get when in the Sanzu River. He is the complete opposite of his father Yogoshimacreiten who is pure evil and iredeemable, and doesn't truly care about, hinting at a horrible relationship with his father.
