“ | You really are a FOOL, aren’t you? Since it’s clear that an idiot like you will be eliminated in this round, let me tell you something good. What this game truly tests… is DOMINATION. There are only two kinds of people: Those who dominate, and those who are dominated…Those who dominate are the ones who will win…THAT is the true object of Liar Game. ~ Yokoya mocking Kanzaki Nao during the second round. |
Yokoya Norihiko is the main antagonist of the psychological thriller manga series, Liar Game. Introduced in the Third Round's Northern Country, he is interested in winning the Liars Game in order to win his father's favor.
Appearance & Personality
In the Manga, Yokoya appears as a short, dark-haired japanese man with extremely squinty eyes that give him a rat-like appearance. This is shown in his possession of mice throughout the games; a clear display of his twisted obsession with domination and his sadistic flair. While his disdain for Akiyama is unmatched by any other character, even greater still is his vendetta against Kanzaki Nao, whose overly honest attitude and belief that everyone should leave the game without debts enrages him, in which he believes that the way his life has been playing out is being opposed by Nao's existence. Yokoya Norihiko is an extreme threat to Akiyama, becoming a massive obstacle to Akiyama and Kanzaki Nao all the way to the Liar Game final round. Sadistic and obsessive to a fault, Yokoya is willing to use any means necessary (manipulation, bribery, and psychological abuse) in order to beat Akiyama and Kanzaki to prove that his philosophy is correct.
