Biography[]
The Yoon family trained at the dojo of Kim Sun-Yung for generations, with him eventually becoming the top student of his class. Following the arrival of John Kreese, him and the rest of the students were punished by their new sensei after the rebellious Kwon Jae-Sung disrespected Kreese. Hellbent on teaching Jae-Sung to be more respectful, Do-jin resorted to pushing Jae-Sung down some stairs as punishment.
Later that night, Do-jin, Min-Seok and Chung-Hee were talking and were met with the return of Jae-Sung, who begins attacking them and easily takes all three of them down. When Do-jin gets up to fight Jae-Sung again, he is brutally defeated as Kwon steals his geum baeji, becoming the new top student of the dojo.
He later traveled to Spain, Barcelona, to compete at the Sekai Taikai, alongside his fellow students and Tory Nichols. During the Sekai Taikai, he, Jae-Sung, and Tory fight Axel and Zara but lose in mere seconds. He, Jae-Sung, and their friends encounter Sam and Axel at the alleyway and briefly gets into a fight with them until a siren prompts them to flee. Later in the tournament, he takes on Miyagi-Do's Hawk, Demetri and Kenny, with the three tagging each other to tire him out until Hawk defeats him, losing the point as a result. When Cobra Kai gets reinstated following Tiger Strike's disqualification, Do-jin helps Cobra Kai train Tory and Jae-Sung for their semifinal matches. During the all out dojo brawl, he attempts to help Kwon beat up Robby, but the latter gains the upper-hand on both of them, and proceeds to get knocked out by Robby. The fight is halted when Kwon accidentally impaled himself with Kreese’s knife when he tried to kill Axel shocking Yoon and everyone.
After returning to Korea, Do-jin and his teammates including Kim Sun-Yung attends Jae-Sung's funeral. He watches as Min-Seok lights up Jae-Sung's casket. Kim Sun-Yung tasks a reluctant Do-jin to use a forbidden Tang Soo Doo move on his classmates including Chung-Hee and Min-Seok. Later, Kreese sends him away to protect him from Sun-Yung's brutality and to insure that he doesn't go on the same path as Kwon.
