Yoshikazu is the main antagonist of the horror manga series Freak Island and its prequel Offal Island. He is the patriarch and head of The Family.

Biography

Yoshikazu was born in the island and is one of the few members who believe in Santa Maria, a deity worshpped by the inhabitants of the island. He was a zealot who would meet Mariko Glaccias as is one of the predictions from he heard off from Zanta Maria. He also has a rivalry with Hanakuro, who believed he was using dark magic. He and Mariko would later get married and later have five children, being Mari, Kaoru, Anna , Kanna, and Satoru. At some point after getting attacked by a mob, Xanta Maria appeared and saved him and his son Kaoru and his daughter Mari. With the stones and the knowledge that Zanta Maria was real, Yoshikazu took over the island and would later meet Alice and her crew antagonizing her with his children. After Mariko returned, they would revive Otoki, a large woman who is Yoshikazu's mother. After the events of Offal Island, years later into the events of Freak Island, he had the yakuza dump many people for their sacrifices for Zanta Maria with a now older Kaoru and Mari with three more children, being Anna, Kanna, and Satoru. Yoshikazu would later come into contact with the university students with his family.

Thanks to black magic and the power of Zanta Maria, Yoshikazu would gain superhuman strength, speed, and durability.
