Yuko Asuka is an assassin known by the codename Red Queen who is working for the Despar Army and an antagonist in episode 18 of Inazuman Flash.
She is hired by Führer Geisel to assassinate Goro Watari, but secretly plans to kill him to avenge her parents, who were killed when her village was razed by Despar.
She is portrayed by Junko Yashiro.
Biography[]
When she was younger, Yuko's village was the victim of a raid led by Hammer Despar that left nearly everyone dead except for her childhood friend Tetsuya. Vowing revenge, Yuko trained to be an assassin and later got recruited into the Despar Army in order to get close to Fuhrer Geisel. To prove her loyalty to him, Geisel had her kill Tetsuya, her only surviving friend from the village, which Yuko reluctantly did.
Yuko was later caught by Hammer Despar making a finger gun at a portrait of Geisel, leading him to assault her and smack her hand with his hammer. Sadespar then intervened and stopped Hammer Despar from killing her, before giving Yuko her mission to assassinate Goro. Yuko attempted to snipe Goro from afar, but due to the injury to her fingers she was unable to get an accurate shot and missed. Goro then went after her as she tried to flee and caught up to after she went into a small stadium. Yuko however had managed to hide and catch Goro by surprise, pointing her rifle at him. She revealed that the reason she was killing him was to get close to Geisel so she could get revenge on him, but before she could shoot Goro he kicked the rifle out of her hands. As Makoto Arai went to join Goro, the Red Queen reclaimed her sniper rifle and fled.
Yuko would later attempt to snipe Geisel while he was selecting a candidate to become Hammer Despar II but was stopped by Goro, who attempted to persuade her to give up her single-minded quest for revenge, but she refused and tried to shoot him again. She was then fatally wounded by gunfire from Despar Soldiers on order of Geisel himself, who knew of her true goals and had no more need for her now that Hammer Despar II was finished. With her last breath, Yuko attempted to shoot Geisel but only blew off his ear, her quest for revenge proving futile in the end.
