~ Yukon Nik taking the Marshal hostage. |
Nikolai "Yukon Nik" Borodin is a villain in the video game Red Dead Online. He is a Russian immigrant who is wanted dead or alive for multiple murders and kidnapping a US Marshal.
He is voiced by Kristof Reinharz.
Biography[]
"Yukon" Nikolai Borodin was born in 1848. A Russian immigrant, he initially worked as a trapper in the Alaskan territory, but fled to West Elizabeth after becoming wanted for several murders he committed. A bounty of $75 was placed on his head. A US Marshal was sent to arrest him, but Borodin outwitted and captured him.
During the events of Red Dead Online, the player has the option of tracking down Borodin after obtaining a bounty hunter's license. Borodin can be found at an abandoned military base called Fort Riggs, where he and his gang (implied to be the infamous Skinner Brothers) are holding the US Marshal. There is also a captive grizzly bear, which the player can free in order to give themselves an advantage.
After the player kills all of his men, Borodin himself emerges from a cabin with the Marshal, who he threatens to kill if the player doesn't leave. The player must then disarm or wound Borodin and hogtie him (the Marshal does not need to survive to complete the mission) and take him to the Strawberry jail. Alternatively, the player can simply kill Borodin and deliver his body. Either way, they will receive the bounty on him.
Trivia[]
- If captured alive, one of Borodin's lines on the way back to the jail is that he misses his bear. He will also comment that he's looking forward to meeting his "new friends" when the player arrives at the jail.
- Depending on what difficulty is selected, the player may need to capture Borodin alive to complete the mission.
