Yun-Jin Lee is the main protagonist of CHAPTER 19: All Kill, a DLC featured in the asymmetrical horror video game, Dead by Daylight. Yun-Jin Lee is an ambitious and sharp-witted music producer from South Korea, known for her confidence, style, and drive to succeed at any cost, including covering up the crimes of her employer, Ji-Woon Hak, also known as The Trickster.

Yun Jin Lee

Biography[]

Raised in a debt-ridden household in South Korea, Yun-Jin learned early that survival required strategy. After failing to become an idol singer, she entered the music industry as an unpaid intern at Mightee One Entertainment. Operating under the pseudonym Magnum Opus, she secretly produced hit songs, earning recognition for her sharp instincts and creative prowess. Her big break came when she was assigned to revitalize the struggling boy band NO SPIN. Sensing the need for a fresh edge, she recruited Ji-Woon Hak—a charismatic performer whose unconventional style catapulted the group to stardom.

Tragedy struck when a studio fire claimed the lives of all NO SPIN members except Ji-Woon. Rather than mourn, Yun-Jin pivoted, channeling the loss into a new narrative. She helped Ji-Woon launch a solo career as The Trickster, using his grief as artistic fuel. The world embraced his dark aesthetic, but Yun-Jin began noticing a disturbing pattern: a series of murders coinciding with his tour dates. Initially, she feared an obsessive fan might be responsible. But during a recording session, she uncovered the horrifying truth—Ji-Woon himself was the killer.

Despite her suspicions, Yun-Jin buried the evidence, unwilling to risk her career. Months later, when executives pressured her to tone down The Trickster’s violent image, she arranged a private showcase to prove his marketability. Instead, Ji-Woon trapped and murdered the executives before her eyes, saving Yun-Jin for last. As he prepared to kill her, the Entity’s black fog consumed them both. Now trapped in its realm, Yun-Jin is no longer just a Survivor—she’s a woman with a vendetta, determined to make Ji-Woon suffer and reclaim her legacy.

Trivia[]

  • She is the first survivor to reflect a more villainous role, with the second being Taurie Cain.
  • Yun-Jin is the most evil and most selfish among the survivors in Dead by Daylight. She indirectly assisted the Ji-Woon in his massacres and remained silent, turning a blind eye to all those murders to use them for her own gain.
