Yusef Ahmed

Yusef Ahmed was once a member of Aden Syed's army in Somalia when he was 13 years old. He had to kill his mother in order to join Syed's army in order to survive. Since the war, Yusef plotted with Feiruz Hussein Abdi, Musa, and Hamid to try and kill Syed and his family out of revenge. He is the main antagonist of "Monster" in S.W.A.T..

Biography[]

At the age of 13, Yusef had to make the choice by Syed's men to kill his mother to join his army during the war in Somalia or his men would have raped her and kill them both. Since joining Syed's army, Yusef was also branded and scarred to show that he was a part of Syed's army. Yusef, also met Syed in person and was trained by him to commit heinous acts. Since the war, Yusef migrated to America and resided in Los Angeles, California. He, along with Abdi, Musa, and Hamid, and most members of the Somalian community resented Syed for his heinous crimes as a warlord 25 years ago.

After an incident occurred where El Monte discovered that Aden Syed also resided in Los Angeles, and that latter's arrest by LAPD S.W.A.T., Yusef along with Musa, and Hamid attempted to ambush the International Criminal Court vehicle carrying Syed to assassinate him. The attempt failed. They met in a restaurant to talk about the next stage of their plan with Abdi and felt that Syed being sent to Europe to be imprisoned for being a warlord is not a sufficient punishment. After the failed assassination and Abdi's arrest by the LAPD, Yusef, Musa, and Hamid captured Syed's wife and son, Verna and Max, by gunpoint, and had them tied and bounded to chairs. Yusef made a video and posted it to YouTube telling viewers that Syed should confess to his crimes or he will kill Syed's wife and son within a few hours' timeline. Hamid express concern over their plan thinking that they are going too far, but Yusef tells him that this is necessary to exact vengeance on Syed and that Hamid is sounding weak to him. The timeline passed and Syed did not make his confession video. Yusef speaks to Max and tells him that he needs to kill his mother and that he is no longer a child, but a man. He gives Max the gun and tells him to shoot and kill his mother. He threatens to kill Max if he does not kill her. When S.W.A.T. burst through the front door and detain Musa and Hamid, Yusef takes Max as hostage and threatens to kill him with his gun if they do not go away. Yusef tells Deacon that Syed forced him and others to kill their families. Deacon tells him that he has made a living now and that he does not need to act like Syed, but Yusef objects. Deacon shoots Yusef and disarms him. Yusef, along with Hamid and Musa, is arrested by LAPD S.W.A.T..
