Yuu Ren is a major antagonist in the historical seinen anime and manga series, Kingdom. She is the hated archenemy of Kyou Kai after she murdered her adoptive older sister, Kyou Shou with underhanded tactics that were supposedly "forbidden" in clan's succession ritual and unfairly won title of the Shiyuu.
Appearance[]
Yuu Ren is a tall woman in her mid-20s with long, straight dark hair reaching her back, with some strands falling over her face. She wears the traditional attire of the Yuu Tribe and covers her mouth and nose with a scarf decorated with her tribe's red markings, which conceals small tattoos around her mouth and chin.
Personality[]
Yuu Ren was raised as an assassin from birth, making her a cold and manipulative individual. She persuaded other Shiyuu ritual contestants to gang up on Kyou Shou, showcasing her cunning nature. As she descended into madness after becoming Shiyuu, she revealed her sadistic side, mocking Kyou Kai and taking pleasure in her struggle, even displaying disturbing behavior while witnessing her killing her tribesmen.
