Zariganian is a crayfish-themed monster of the Satan Empire and an antagonist in episode 15 of The Kagestar.

He is voiced by the late Keisuke Yamashita, who also voiced Major Skull and Baron Rock in Kamen Rider Stronger, and later voiced Onimengo in Kamen Rider Super-1 and Onigan in Kyodai Ken Byclosser.

Biography

Zariganian was sent by Doctor Satan to kidnap children and hypnotize them into joining the "Junior Satan Corps" ("Shouen Satan Tai"). Taking on a human disguise as a crayfish farmer, Zariganian approached Takeshi and his friends as they were playing the mud and looking for crayfish. He gave each of them a pet crayfish to take home before departing behind some tall grass, where he dropped his disguise and let out a laugh as everything was going according to plan.

At night, Zariganian activated a machine that caused the crayfish to hypnotize the children. Zariganian had the children all exit their homes and meet with him and a group of Satan Combatants. They were spotted by a police officer, but Zariganian killed the officer before leaving with the children. The next day, Zariganian brought the children to a forest where he had Satan Combatants train the children to become soldiers of the Satan Empire. With help from Inspector Toda, Kageoh and Suzuko were able to locate the children as they were training. Zariganian sent the children to kill them, but Kageoh and Suzuko did not want to fight back because they were children. Instead, they became Kagestar and Bellestar and went after Zariganian. The two were able to beat back Zariganian, only for Zariganian to opt to teleport away with the children instead of continuing the fight.

Zariganian would later use the children to lure out Kageoh and Suzuko, before capturing them and bringing them to his Satan Empire base where he presented them before Doctor Satan. Doctor Satan attempted to have them executed by using an electric saw to decapitate them, but Kageoh and Suzuko able to escape his restraints and destroy the device Zariganian was using to brainwash the children. The two then became Kagestar and Bellestar and fought the Satan Combatants while Doctor Satan and Zariganian escaped via jeep. Kagestar and Bellestar chased after them on their motorcycles, but Zariganian opted to stay behind to battle them again. The Kagestar then defeated him with a "Kage Kick" that sent him flying before causing him to explode after he hit the ground.
