Zarkt is one of the overarching antagonists of the Ninjago: Shatterspin comic series and Season 2, and one of the secondary antagonists of Season 3 of Ninjago: Dragons Rising.
He's an anthropomorphic animal from the Wyldness, the Elemental Master of Misfortune, and a member of the Forbidden Five. In the past, he and his fellow members, together with the Wolf Clan, sought to take over the sixteen realms of Ninjago, but were stopped by the Dragon Masters Egalt and Rontu, who banished the Forbidden Five, alongside Zarkt, into the Nether-Space, with the aid of a living spell named Bonzle.
He is voiced by Michael Adamthwaite, who also voiced Jay Walker in the same series.
History[]
Past[]
Zarkt , like the rest of the Forbidden Five, was once a normal Elemental Master. However, he joined the Forbidden Five, a group of evil Elemental Masters. With the rest of the Forbidden Five, Zarkt seized control of the Wyldness and set out to conquer the rest. Using a fighting technique they created known as Shatterspin, Zarkt and his companions defeated all who opposed them. During their conquest of the Realms of Creation, the Forbidden Five encountered resistance from the Dragon Masters Egalt and Rontu. The Dragon Masters could counter Shatterspin via their Rising Dragon fighting technique. Using Rising Dragon, the Dragon Masters were able to successfully defeat Zarkt and the rest of the Forbidden Five. With the Forbidden Five defeated, they were banished to Nether-Space, Zarkt included.
Season 2
When communicating with Rox and Nokt, he expressed impatience and frustration with the amount of time they are taking. In the nether space, he gets in a fight with Kur, which is broken up by Drix. Zarkt is freed by Nokt and Rox near the end of the season.
Season 3[]
Zarkt attacked and destroyed a truck while stealing supplies from 2 citizens. Zarkt and the others found Thunderfang and made a deal or get chaos power if they freed him. When he attacked Lloyd, Riyu, Zane, Pixal, Frak, and Sora, he failed. When he told Rox, she threatened to make it the forbidden four. Zarkt started to fight Kai when Drix was returning with the last blades. Zarkt kicks him aside and flies into the tornado to finally free Thunderfang. His soul was absorbed when they finally did the deed of releasing him.
Personality[]
Zarkt was an evil being who has no empathy towards his enemies like the rest of the Forbidden Five, this was shown while he and the others mockingly laughed at Zarkar who was emotionally shocked after losing the majority of his tribe to them and their destructive power. He also tended to get easily frustrated, since he was the only one of the trapped members who complained to Noktand Rox's soul and then ordered the two to hurry and find a way to free them during their exile in the Nether-Space. Also, when Sora made fun of him after he failed to get the prismatic blade, he left with a growl. He was shown to be impatient when looking for a Prismatic Blade with the Dragonians to cut Thunderfang's chains, grabbing Tyr's collar and ordering him to hurry.
