Zeatrix Vespasian-Orus is a supporting antagonist in Ninjago: Dragons Rising, serving as a minor character in Season 1, a supporting antagonist in Season 2, and a minor antagonist in Season 3.
She is the daughter of Emperor Levo Vespasian-Orus, the older sister of Empress Beatrix, and the current Elemental Master of Shockwave. Though she is her father's heir to the throne, however, Zeatrix was exiled from Imperium after her Beatrix usurped the throne with the aid of Lord Ras.
She is voiced by Nicole Oliver which also voiced Daybreaker in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Jean in Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, Empress Beatrix in Ninjago: Dragons Rising, and the Never Witch in LEGO DREAMZzz.
History[]
Early Life[]
Born as the elder twin daughter of Emperor Levo Vespasian-Orus and closely followed by Beatrix a few minutes later, Zeatrix inherented Levo's Elemental Power of Shockwave and was next in line for the throne of the Kingdom of Imperium. As Zeatrix showcased her abilities, Beatrix felt inadequate and ridiculed by her.
One day, a tiger from the Realm of the Wyldness named Lord Ras visited Imperium to discuss utilizing a Source Dragon to power the kingdom with Emperor Levo. Levo rejected the idea and ordered Zeatrix to expel Ras from the palace when the latter revealed sinister intentions behind capturing the Source Dragon and insulted Levo. Zeatrix complied and earned praise from Levo. A few days later, Ras conspired with Beatrix to assassinate Levo by sabotaging his hover chariot. Upon doing so, Levo's hover chariot exploded and crashed, resulting in the Emperor's death and making it appear as an accident. Zeatrix was then falsely arrested by Ras and several Imperium Guards for treason, then banished from Imperium. While in exile, Zeatrix developed a bitter vendetta against her sister and Ras and sought to take revenge on them for taking everything from her. However, after Beatrix was defeated by the ninja (most notably Arin), Zeatrix believed that they had denied her off her vengeance and thus sought to get back on the ninja for it.
Season 2: Dragons Rising[]
Zeatrix was drinking tea in Ninjago City when she received an invitation to the Tournament of the Sources from the Spirit Dragons. She participated in the Tournament of the Sources but was disqualified after she used a cowardly and dirty tactic to defeat Lloyd Garmadon, the Green Ninja, which consequently resulted in Zeatrix being banned from the tournament for life.
Between Seasons[]
Following the Tournament of the Sources, Zeatrix relocated to the Storm Farms with some loyal Imperium Guards. Still wishing to get revenge on Ras, she kidnapped the dragons Jiro, Zanth, and Heatwave from the ninja and attempted to torture them into compliance with the help of her Imperium Guards. Jiro however managed to escape and alerted the ninja, then lead them to the Storm Farms. At the sight Zeatrix attacked the ninja with her elemental power. During the battle, Jiro attacked the Storm Farms core with his lightning, causing an electrical explosion that forced Zeatrix to flee. Following this, she'd come into contact with Fedulian anonymously and through him learned of Rogue.
Season 3: Dragons Rising[]
Shortly after, Zeatrix set her plans for revenge into motion by anonymously contacting Fedulian to deliver a letter to Rogue. She then met Rogue in a secret location and hired him to deliver Ras to her.
Personality[]
Zeatrix is depicted as vengeful, fierce and wrathful extremist, which makes her not much different as her younger sister. She is also easily provocative and quick-to-anger, as she attacked the ninja after being insulted by Wyldfyre.
