| ~ Zejas to Spikes about the boy who frequently steals from him |
Zejas is one of the main antagonists, later turned protagonist in the Mexican animated movie Guardians of the Lost Code. He is a 14-year old boy who usually steals things from other children who exceed his territory.
He was voiced by Alejandro Orozco and by Alfonson Obregon (same voice actor as his brije, Poison) in his warrior form.
Biography[]
He appears for the first time in a market, crossing paths with a small child, whom he frequently steals from due to overstepping his territory. This time, he takes his coins and a yo-yo.
When he meets with Muty and Spikes, he tells them to look at what was found. When the boy asks if he went again with the usual crybaby, he answers that it is not his fault that he always passes by at the same time as him, and he should already like his presence. After Spikes asked his sister what she tought of Zejas, he tells her that he quite likes her and is her #1 fan, and tell his friends if they are going to the museum as they agreed. Before they can leave, he is intercepted by Elmer. When he claims to be able to help them with their problems, Zejas says that they better leave since he is giving him a bad feeling. However, he sees the energy of darkness and is scared. At that, he receives his brije: Poison. He is amazed by the presence of his new friend, and likes the fact that they talk, to which he asks the scorpion if he can too. At Claws' suggestion to acept their fates, Zejas agrees if he can stay with Poison.
When they arrive at Elmer and Claws' lair, he is amazed by the portal that forms the darkness. He has the same reaction when the darkness pulls Spikes away from Muty, and he locks eyes with Elmer. Then, he sees the little girl being swallowed by the portal along with her brije, Scales.
After Muty and Scales return defeated, he is stunned by Spikes and Elmer's reaction. Given the order of darkness to bring the next chosen one, he answers Elmer's call to his person, but Spikes pushes him away and it ends up being him and his brije, Fangs, who travel in the portal. When Elmer and Claws doubt Spikes' motivation, he tells them that it is because of Muty, since she is everything to him, and tells them about her past and the reason why she does not speak, assuring that they agreed to join them. When Claws asks him what his reason Is for wanting revenge on the world, he answers that he loves her too but he likes doing what he wants more.
Seeing that Atzi Is about to reach the next piece of the codex, he prepares to go. After Spikes was defeated and Atzi got the piece, he appears in the portal in Egypt, he orders her to give it to him. When the girl refuses, he uses his brije to attack her, but Bri receives the damage and is poisoned. In that, he manages to take the sacred piece and has a vision which the ancient brijes tells him to take the piece to Chichen Itza, and he is teleported to said place in the past.
When the protagonists arrive, he is seen with his brije climbing the pyramid with an female eagle warrior form. While there Is a battle between Zompul Balam and the protagonists, Zejas enters the interior of the temple and places the sacred piece in an artifact, which releases an ancient key. Then, he leaves the place and invokes Quetzalcoatl from the sun. When he tells him to accept the sun energy, Zejas tells him to then give it all to him and absorbs the feathered serpent in the key.
He adds that finally the key is part of the darkness. He easily defeats Zompul Balam, and asks the key to show him where the missing piece of the codex is located. He believes himself invincible, but Atzi arrives in her warrior form and blows him and Poison into the air with a large tornado, losing the key in the process. When she gets it back, he also takes on his warrior form, saying that she has nothing, and goes after her through the air.
Although the protagonists traveled in the portal, Zejas also catches up with them and begins to attack the protective shield with his stinger, shouting them to give it back to him.
He reaches the museum, where he returns to normal and recovers the key. He passes through the fountain and inserts the key into the remaining codex piece, teleporting his friends.
Once the 3 true chosen ones have been reunited, the codex is completed again and they are honored, considering Zejas as a boy who dares everything and with a heart that desires recognition.
Seeing Elmer and Claws' dark transformation, he realizes his mistake. Likewise, he is devastated when Muty is seriously injured by the dark monster. He tells Spikes that's not what they wanted, so he transforms into his warrior form with his friend to confront him. He tells Elmer that he tricked them, and uses his extendable stinger to inmobilize his legs and sting him, causing some damage. However, his attack doesn't last long. Still, he uses all his power until, thanks to everyone's faith, Elmer and Claws are defeated. He is still sad because Muty doesn't wake up, but he is more happy that he reacts. Later, when he finds the boy who always stole, he returns his yo-yo. In the end, he leaves with his friends, including Freddy, Kimo, Atzi and their brijes.
Personality[]
Zejas is an aggresive, manipulative boy with great tendences towards kleptomania, usually taking advantage of children who are smaller and/or weaker than him to steal their belongings for pleasure.
However, he is also usually a boy who is quite close to his only friends, Spikes and Muty, being tender with the little girl (he probably has feelings for her).
When he learns from his mistakes, he decides to reverse what he has done and begins to be honest with himself, deciding to return what is not his.

Appearance[]
Zejas is a thin, white-skinned boy with short, smoky-black hair and long eyebrows, and black eyes. He wears a gray shirt with a black collar and a drawing of an arthropod-style skull in the center, as well as "black belts", red pants, and red shoes. He wears thin black bracelets.
When he fused with Poison, he becomes a fuchsia-colored, red-eyed anthropomorphic scorpion with red stripes on his torso, and his right arm and 4 legs are red with large, black, pointed legs. On his left arm, he has an elongated black claw, while on his right arm he has light gray armor with a sharp, black stinger.

Powers and Abilities[]
In his fusion with Poison, he gains superhuman strength and speed. As it is a scorpion, it has a pincer in his left hand with which it can grab his enemies quite tightly. Likewise, in its right hand, he has an elongated stinger that causes great damage to whoever receives its stings.
